why?

Why did we let Lukaku go? Sturridge? Keep Torres? I've stuck up for him for years now. Lukaku and Sturridge upfront together = f**king lethal.

Daft decisions again!

Why did you start another thread going over the same old, same old?  Oh and Lukaku hasn't gone (yet)

Why can't I start another thread. Im new to the forum and had something to say. I haven't sat on here for months reading your posts or other people's. It close to the end of the season and I'm just reflecting on what could have been this season.

Don't reply if it's just daft arguing type replies, I can't be arsed with it

You can't be arsed with it?  Well, I never.  The kids of today, eh, BQ?

As for reflecting - to claim that post as "reflective" contravenes the Trades Description Act.

I think the forum rules have something about duplicate threads... I don't know though, Iv'e never read them

Why use the post title "why?" when you could have just said "y?"

Good idea to start a thread about Torres, we need one here - I think he tries hard and will come good next year? Wonder if anyone else has opinions on him?

I think we just need to get the right kind of winger in and he will be back to Liverpool form

I think Jose needs to put on 50lbs and grow a goatee, then we change our name to Liverpool FC and our colours to red. Make him think it's 2008 again, it's worth one last shot as we've tried everything else.

He'll also have to familiarise himself with the menu of a local tapas bar.

Site Rules:

Try not to:

*Create duplicate threads.

*Start threads in the wrong forum

* Give posts generic titles i.e. Do not just start a topic titled 'Mikel’, title it accordingly like 'Mikel to sign for Inter?’

Welcome to the Forum.

And let us not forget rule 12 - the most important of all

12. Don't use 'Text Speak' in your posts. It is horrific!

The mere thought of text speak annoys me. Its bad enough having to keep nagging my nephews about using it on Facebook. That and overuse of acronyms drives me up the wall. Having to sit there decoding it is like cracking the Da Vinci code at times.

I've always wondered how much time is actually saved by using 'Text Speak'. In the space of time it takes me to type the extra two letters in the word 'you' instead of using 'u', i think i could accomplish, at most, a half a blink of my eyelid.

It takes me longer to work out what the text speak term is for the word that I want to write rather than just actually typing out the word.

I never understood text speak.

Exactly. Same thing when it comes to reading it too. I saw somebody type KTBFFH earlier and was absolutely baffled by it. I had to Google it just to understand what it meant. I mean no disrespect, but people should just type what they mean. Much easier and less hassle.

Hebrew has no vowels, is that horrific too?

THOUGHT SO

But that is not one of the Shed End rules, is it?  have I missed something?

Anyway, vowels in Hebrew are marked by diacritic symbols above or below the letters marking the start of the syllable, or by using things called matres lectionis, which are sort of consonnantal vowels.

Text speak:

The first example is merely illegible to non-Hebrew speakers, the second is f**king ugly in any language.

Well said, Tommy!  These wee symbols underneath and above the letters, sort of turn them into vowels.  Where's barak when you need him?

Hebrew can be written with the vowels but is only done so normally in modern printed prayer books - and in textbooks for those learning to read and write Hebrew. Otherwise both modern and biblical is commonly written without the vowels below the letters. Tommy's post above still stands, it has rules, spelling and grammar unlike text speak.

Anyway why am I writing this when Chelsea just won - if you care you can just go read wikipedia on the hebrew alphabet, I'm going to watch the goals once more...

I've just watched it again on Match of the Day - superb!  Onwards and upwards!
