On a scale of 1-10 how funny did you find his corner in the 91st minute yesterday? The one where he passed it straight to matic for no apparent reason

haha thats exactly what I had in mind when I typed that, I'd already accepted our loss then, actually that we didn't deserve anything from that game, so i had to laugh quite a bit, although I think I was the only person in the pub that found that hilarious!

Yeah you did say that and was fair comment. I agree don't think it was a good Liverpool performance I can't think of many players that I would of said had a good match, I think all the support from the fans finally turned into pressure and like you say you were rushing things, giving the ball away. As for playing for a draw, I think that would of been the best thing to do but in all honesty Im sure if Liverpool have it in them, they will always go out to attack teams because that's their strength and where a lot of the time it works there will always be a game here and there where they run out of attacking ideas.

It will be interesting to see where Rodgers wants to strengthen us over summer, we certainly need an attacker or two, midfielder too because gerrard seems to have that DM role down and Lucas is terrible playing anywhere else. Think we have good defenders but we are very unorganized, think we need another coach coming in to sort that out but I don't see it happening.

it depends what you mean by a plan b to be honest, we have played so many different formations this season, often changing mid game, we simply didn't have the personal to change much, sturridge (along with everyone else) looked poor when he came on. We had to resort to hoping Iago f**king Aspas would help us change the game, Iago f**king Aspas. We need to adress our squad problems massively.

So having pop shots was your plan b. Thought Stevie me was selfish instead of keeping calm and trying to pick a pass but no he was looking to be the hero. Your squad is quite light can't deny that but how come it was never mentioned before. Like I said ye had all week to prepare did ye really think chelsea would go up and attack you. We soaked it up ans picked you off. You scored first at the bridge and we still won. If ye don't score first ye struggle that's what I mean by not having a plan b. Dont get me wrong for a few games this season it looked like we had no plan b but we don't have a goalscorer like ye. Very naive from Rodgers yesterday

I think it was naive, to be fair though we gifted you both goals, who knows what would have happened had Gerrard not slipped.

If the Arse win tonight Everton won't really have any motivation for the City game. I would be ecstatic if Everton beat them to fourth whilst taking points off city for us, I just dont see it happening though. So that leaves us with the option of scoring something like ten goals in our last 2 games whilst hoping city scrape by with 1-0 wins at best.

What would happened was you would have still struggled to score. Your big players didn't preform. Suarez the player of the year didn't get a sniff with a player making hes debut surely more is to be expecting by the player of the year. Not once dis you really open us up

we had one or two great chances that we cocked up, same as you guys did, I personally think it would have finished a draw which would have been enough for us.

Fair play Lewy for fronting up, I don't know if I'd have the stomach for it...Its very nip and tuck now but I can see Everton doing you a favour. If you do win it at least we didn't just turn up as whipping boys for your coronation. And what ever happens you've had a hell of a ride.

Thats the way im trying to look at it, its pretty hard though!

Ok so we played a B team, and we parked the bus (4-3-3 morphing into 5-4-1 later on) but who the f*** cares! We got the results, we played our strengthens and nullified theirs (comprehensively!), isn't that was sports is about...

Credit to our players (...and Gerrard! :laugh2: ) and our legend of a manager! 2-0 and moving on.... Couldn't care less what the pundits say!

That's onw club I'd love to see go down. Boring club boring fans a big club that offers notting

Your not wrong there mate...all there success came in the late 1800`s

How would have finished a draw? You saying if Gerrard didn't slip your shaky defence would have stopped us scoring

It may be a little quieter here.  Redandwhite3 might be having a bit of difficulty logging in.  There's only so much sh*te that can be tolerated!

Thank f**k for that... Thank you!

The Shed End is now a happier place!

Quite possibly, we gifted you both goals, the first was cause Gerrard fell on his arse and the second because we had one defender back, and halfway up the pitch at that, I'm not saying you didn't deserve the win, you set out and played excellently, dont think we deserved a point but i do think we could have got one if not for the gerrard mistake

Kalas missed an open header shot, so it's not like we didn't create anything for ourselves anyways. Regardless we stifled the opposition perfectly and took our chances when they came.

yep, i mentioned before that both teams had chances that they didnt take, gerrard should of done better when he was unmarked for a header for one. It was a fair result, but I don't think we were as far away from a draw as others were suggesting.

Chelsea knew your dangerous in the first half and I reckon if we had to go in goalless at half we would have being a different team in the second half.

I've said this somewhere else, but I'm fed up with this Gerrard slipped bullsh*t. It sounds that he was perhaps a tad unlucky, it wasn't his fault, one of those things.

It was a mistake, pure and simple. He failed to control a simple pass by taking his eye off the ball, simple school boy error. In trying to recover from this mistake he slipped. I believe even if he hadn't slipped Ba was getting the ball before him and his next option was the profession foul which could have resulted in a red card.

Lucky he slipped I'd say or we could have romped home and Stevie Me would have been out for the remainder of the season.

Petty and pathetic from Brendan Rodgers. I really would have expected a lot more from him, considering that he wouldn't have a managerial career if it wasnt for Jose and Chelsea. That post match press conference just highlights a massive lack of respect from an inexperienced and still unproven manager. He criticized jose, saying that it isn't hard to coach a defensive style like we played, yet why couldn't his team keep a clean sheet against us or city? He's just as bitter as every other scouser now, and up until this point i'd still have given him a decent welcome at Stamford Bridge. Let him rot away in Liverpool, his managerial skills will be tested next year when he has to play in 4 competitions and maybe change his team once in a while.
