I've said this somewhere else, but I'm fed up with this Gerrard slipped bullsh*t. It sounds that he was perhaps a tad unlucky, it wasn't his fault, one of those things.

It was a mistake, pure and simple. He failed to control a simple pass by taking his eye off the ball, simple school boy error. In trying to recover from this mistake he slipped. I believe even if he hadn't slipped Ba was getting the ball before him and his next option was the profession foul which could have resulted in a red card.

Lucky he slipped I'd say or we could have romped home and Stevie Me would have been out for the remainder of the season.

I agree, its became known as a slip with no mention of his poor control. Also, he then went on his Stevie me rampage and with chances to pass to better placed players resorted to smacking them in from all angles. He's getting of lightly in my opinion.

fair enough, i just said slipped cause it's easier to put, I never once said it wasn't a major mistake and I believe it was, having said that he's generally been exceptional for us this season and poor touch or not I'm massively proud he's a liverpool player

Petty and pathetic from Brendan Rodgers. I really would have expected a lot more from him, considering that he wouldn't have a managerial career if it wasnt for Jose and Chelsea. That post match press conference just highlights a massive lack of respect from an inexperienced and still unproven manager. He criticized jose, saying that it isn't hard to coach a defensive style like we played, yet why couldn't his team keep a clean sheet against us or city? He's just as bitter as every other scouser now, and up until this point i'd still have given him a decent welcome at Stamford Bridge. Let him rot away in Liverpool, his managerial skills will be tested next year when he has to play in 4 competitions and maybe change his team once in a while.

looking forward to it myself!

Not getting at you lewy, every right to be proud of your player. It's just that I've heard and read so many media reports saying how unlucky he was to slip. It was a mistake pure and simple.

Your looking forward to him making more excuses is it.

If you don't think Jose has ever made excuses then you need to watch your team play more.

I wouldnt know, I've been avoiding all forms of media and match reports since the game to be honest, but I agree, he was generally gash throughout that entire game but I cant think of one liverpool player who wasnt

Getting ratty are we Lewy. It was a joke calm down calm down. How can I watch my team anymore then what I do already considering i always watch them. I even go to games.

You haven't failed your title run.

City have bottled before, they can do it again. Everton wont be an easy game for them. I'll be honest I hope they win it rather than Liverpool, but you already know that.

I'm not saying this out of negativity it's just fact, you can also win the title. The race has been unpredictable, there could be another twist next week or it could be straight forward from now until the end, who knows. But don't write yourself off now, that's just silly.

Am looking forward to going to the Goose pub  - a ten minute walk from the Bridge - before Wednesday's game. The landlord is a Liverpool fan. Think he'll get a bit ot stick (light-hearted) from the Chelsea fans in there.

Where is redandwhite when you need him? I am sure he would have had a factual statement to make to this...

Reg is sound like you said pity he's a scouser.

Yes, he's sound is Reg. Goose is a fine pub. Great bar staff and beer. Remember Reg wore a Liverpool shirt before the home game just after Christmas.

I actually wasn't there for that I love the goose I even sang karaoke after the stoke game badly I may add.lol. first time I met Reg was back in 2003 after the Leeds game. Reg got rid of the locals and kept me and my mates in and we had a BBQ out the back. I think it was he's daughters birthday I'm not sure. He's a good landlord. Cheap food and drink you can't go wrong

I suspect there is still a further twist in the title race. A lot of people handing it to City now but it isn't that certain in my mind.

As for next season, this year's top three will be the same next season. Liverpool won't fall away in the manner some think and Arsenal will, again, fail to compete with the top three. They have neither the mental strength as a club nor a manager who can mix it with the very best. Fourth spot is considered an achievement for them because that is the peak of their capability

Still think City will fail to win at Everton. This race is far from over.

So I've had a chance to see the game and read some reports, got to say some of it is laughable. All this moaning about anti football, and cheating and all that guff is awful. Liverpool would have known about how we were going to set up all week, and had time to prepare for it. We adapted to a situation with suspensions and injuries and put it to work. Was in pretty ? No. Would I like us to be more attack minded ? Yes. Would I want us to go to Liverpool and get battered trying to play pretty ? Do me a favour, look what has happened to Arsenal, City, Everton etc. They are lethal in open play with space, with the best striker in Europe, we found a way to counteract that, and that is football.

If my uncle had been born a woman he'd be my aunt. If Gerrard hadn't slipped, if this if that. If that bloke was sent off for pulling down Ramires in the Villa game, if we had not hit the bar against Sunderland, Stoke, blah blah. You make your own luck and you won't hear me going on about what ifs, it's 38 games to decide your own destiny. We done Liverpool good and proper yesterday. It was as professional a job as I've seen in some time, slowing the play down. Set up from Mourinho in the week talking about a 2nd string side to the application on the pitch by the lads.

Liverpool don't like it (why should they) because they got beat, they are not used to that, but take it on the chin. They have been tremendous at times this season, do they deserve to win the league ? If they have more points than anyone else then yes, although many of the comments about us (Lewy aside) as a club, fans, and team make it hard to want that to happen.

Anti football ? I feel f**king great today.
