Euro 2016 Qualifiers

f**king hell Townsend deserves more hate than Chiles, f**king irritating to say the least.

Saying Welbeck has been amazing for Arsenal and now he's banging on about Townsend for half an hour, I could go on with some of the ridiculous things he says.

You would think that ITV would have learned something by now looking at the World cup final figures.

He's been pretty solid imo. Made us much more attacking

Call me harsh but wasn't good enough really, especially against a San Marino side, I wouldn't really want him playing against the big sides if he is supposed to be our attacking influence.

He's a good player don't get me wrong, but these days you got to go from international form, some of them play good for their clubs then they go to England and can't do a thing, Rooney being one of them especially, he was rubbish.

I know i say it a lot but Milner is sh*t. His pass completion percentage tonight must have been about 20%. Foul, foul, foul, give the ball away, and this was against San Marino.

Yeah another player who wasn't doing enough, yes he was beating the player just about any time but this is San Marino, of course he can out pace the fullback, but he did absolutely nothing in the end. He just kept turning and turning and the end product rubbish.

We have to many players like that for England, the only players which I don't hate for England coming through the ranks are Sterling and Wilshire, some might call me mad but I think they are pretty decent. As for Townsend I need to see more games, but every game so far he has been decent.

When you think about the size of San Marino, their population x 1.5 would just barely fill up Stamford Bridge, it's quite impressive that they don't get beat by more than 10 goals in every qualifier. It must be tough for their players, hope they can get a point or two in qualifying.

More than 100 Ukranian and Belarusian fans arrested for singing an anti-Putin song at the Euro 2016 qualifier game between Ukraine and Belarus.

More than 100 football fans have been detained in Belarus after nearly the entire stadium joined in chanting a well-known song insulting Russian President Vladimir Putin, media reports say.

Both local and visiting fans at the Euro 2016 qualifier between Ukraine and Belarus in Borisov came together in a rousing rendition of the song - which has became a popular expression of opposition to Putin in Ukraine, the Belarusian paper Nasha Niva reports. Belarusian fans are also heard voicing their solidarity with their Ukrainian counterparts by chanting the signature slogan of the Maidan protests in Kiev - Slava Ukrayini ("Glory to Ukraine"). The Ukrainians return the favour by chanting Zhyve Belarus ("Long live Belarus").

After the match, about 100 Ukrainian and 30 Belarusian were held and taken to the local KGB station, reportedly on suspicion of using "obscene language", the opposition website Charter '97 reports. According to one report, some of them will be taken to court and are expected to receive a five-day sentence. The Ukrainian fans will also be deported.

It's not the first time the anti-Putin song has made waves. In June, Russian officials called for the resignation of the then Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Andriy Deshchytsya, after he joined Kiev protesters in insulting Putin. The authorities in Moscow are frowning on fruity language more generally - in April, parliament passed a bill that bans swearing from films, music and other works of art.

This from Rooney is without doubt one of the worst performances i have ever seen from him, he has been terrible. Even his freekick he scored from wasn't that great, it was so slow the keeper should have caught it.

Rooney looks burnt out...like Owen me thinks...played so much when he was younger that the traditional peak years don't apply to him...they have been and gone...looks short of pace, his touch has gone, his finishing is terrible...should have had at least five goals in San Marino and Estonia games...again, so pleased chelsea didn't sign this guy

Just as i thought, Hodgson thought we played well. We were crap you moron, that first half was garbage. Slow, passing off target, awful finishing, little movement, it was crap.

And now Hoddle thinks we were excellent in the first half. Bloody hell, no wonder why we never progress when managers and former managers think this way.

It's all pr spin...Roy would have been told to be upbeat, hoddle used to be in the job too so is going to be supportive...problem is supporters have eyes and brains and can see the bleeding obvious...it's why Wembley is half full these days

Was at the game and I must say.. Rooney was sh*te, looked to me like Sterling fell quite easily for that free-kick which Rooney converted, disappointed by the result as I can't stop imagining whether we could've salvaged a 0-0 draw had our Captain not been sent off so early.

Poor showing from England but proud of my boys, 0-1 with ten men against England is not too shabby.

We are awful. We are so bad that the 1990's look like a Golden Age of English Football. The lack of PLAYING Englishmen in the PL is one reason but the lethargy and slowness of our players in games is hard to comprehend.

In fairness to Arsenal, it's a good thing that Wenger has a relatively high proportion of Englishmen in his side.

Lastly, I think we need a shock like not qualifying for this or the WC to wake people up.

Really enjoying Wales lately, we were very good against Bosnia and started this Cyprus game well.

Bale is on another level, dragging pretty poor players like Robson-Kanu and making them look half decent.

Considering the stupendous amount of injuries (11 I think) Coleman deserves a fair bit of credit. First time since Speedo that we've looked a decent team. Would certainly fancy our chances against England with the likes of Ramsey and Allen fit.

Cue Cyprus scoring 3 in the second half.

I don't want to put the mockers on Wales but that's two impressive results and a decent level of commitment from players who (with exceptions :-)) are not world class but who want to play for their country.

Qualification would be great for Wales.
