Wenger

His own players stating in so many words that Wenger lost control when he pushed Mourinho is a strong indication that Wenger is losing control of the dressing room, and that some of the Arsenal players at least, may well have had enough of him.

Laurent Koscielny in the Standard:

The facts are that after Cahill’s tackle, I think the coach was a little upset because three days before Alexis Sánchez received the same tackle against Galatasaray. The player only got a yellow card.

It’s true, he [Wenger] flew out of control.”

Wow and that's his own player, sounds like he is losing the dressing room

Wenger remains at Arsenal so it seems that the 'business' think he and the team are performing acceptably. If that is the case then an annual fourth place finish must meet the needs of the business, even if it leaves fans frustrated.

I'd be interested to know what Shedenders think of the strength of the Arsenal team. When they 'click' they can play fluid and attractive football but they can equally be bullied out of games, with the big name players not delivering. How good are Arsenal's players?

Well Koscielny from what I've heard is a really down to earth bloke, I actually like him. He said a lot of good words about our Drogba as well slated the twat Luis Suarez.

Better than that f**king horrible polish keeper, can't stand that bell end, it's funny isn't it when he was speaking out against us not having club mentality, isn't that just hilarious when you look at the situation now.

Nice to see a fair assesment by a player, not the usual ' one game at a time' or ' back the manager 100%' BS, plus he had a sense of humour about his own performance.

If ever a team was screaming out for some natural leaders, it's Ars*nal. And don't talk to me about Wilshire!

Up until last season I thought Arsene deserved his job and that any gooners calling for his head were being fickle. If the board had refused to sell the likes of Cesc, Song, Clichy, Nasri and Van Persie they'd be a top team.

However after seeing his complete tactical ineptness last season against the top teams, and his refusal to strengthen the areas the needed to, he quite clearly isn't with it anymore. He cares more about his own philosophies than the success of the club, and if I were an Arsenal fan i'd want him out.

Long may he stay.

I hope he stays for another decade. If Arsenal had a manager likes Klopp, I would be worried. There's a man who could win with limited resources, and has a great tactical mind

Good point

Klopp is a great bloke, I don't even know if I could hate him if he went to Arsenal.

Agreed and he would make Arsenal into a very good club that can truly live up to its potential. He certainly fill the void Wenger has either refused to do or just doesn't seem to know. Passing on Cesc is a prime example. However one man gathers what another does spill (for any of you Grateful Dead fans out there) and Wenger surely spilled all over.

Wenger was a great manager for Arsenal for about ten years but since about 2006/2007 when the likes of Henry, Pires, Ljungberg and Vieira all left the club, he just hasn't been able to rebuild the squad effectively since then.

Initially he went down the path of youth more than big-name signings after these players departed the club, but after a while it no longer worked and his refusal to change his ways has led Arsenal to be a 4th place team at best with the occasional third place finish.

Admittedly their squad isn't too bad and only has a few evident holes at the moment, but the coaching philosophies down there are becoming stale and I can see why their supporters are growing frustrated unless Wenger rejuvenates himself tactically speaking.  Anyway hopefully he stays and brings the club down with him!

The reason it doesn't work for Wenger in the market anymore is he likes to find the cheap option, he lucked out with guys like Henry (he was an average winger when he bought him), etc. Now everyone's doing what he was doing and the talent pool isn't as large as it once was for cheap prices.

You know what will happen, they'll go on a run eventually against some smaller clivs and then the fans & media will be up his arse again. Arsenal are the same every season, I do find it funny that the fans have really lost patience months are he won a trophy. I thought that FA cup would have kept them going for years
