With Magic. Cesc looking a brilliant centre mid, I think Another Defensive MF, and a quality back up to Costa??

Ideally another midfielder like Pogba.

If either Matic or Cesc is out we really feel it because Mikel and Ramires are not up to the same quality although they are good squad 'fillers'.

Striker will be a must too because Drogba should retire next season and Remy might want to go somewhere else as he doesn't get many minutes.

Those are the two positions that really need looked at IMO.

As Chelsbear already pointed out, the back ups for Matic and Fabregas are areas to look at, as is JT's replacement and a worthy deputy to Costa.

I was hoping van Ginkel would have progressed into a good midfield option when signed but we all know what's happened there, sadly.

Do you have a DM and striker in mind that you see / like the club to bring in?

To be fair we can always improve and it does look like we will need at least 1 new player in the summer given Drogba is likely to retire.

We don't need much at all for once which is great.

If Villa go down then maybe Benteke would be worth a look. Not close to the form he was a couple of years ago but this Villa team is woeful and he looks like he's checked out. Big, strong, knows the league and still relatively young.

 

I'd also like to see us replace Ramires and Mikel with one player and develop Loftus-Cheek and Ake in midfield.
