I feel as if all these players' times at chelsea are done. I'd love to use the funds from these players gained to buy someone like Pogba.

Ramires, Mikel, Luis, and Drogba are important fringe players. Stupid to sell them for one player. If we didnt Have Drogba at the weekend we would of had no strikers on the pitch

Wallace can't even get a look in at Vitesse, people in holland laugh at him.

He couldn't get into inters team either. I for one certainly wouldn't be against selling him.

I know all that but he is still pretty young so i feel we should still show a bit of pateince. He may get a loan somewhere next season and do well, things in football change so quickly.

A lot of people are expecting us to win the race for Gaya of Valencia. Would rather add him and keep Luis and let them fight it out for a first team spot. Always wanted Bertrand to be a success at LB but that's not gonna happen and don't want Dave stuck there full time

I was removing Chalobah and Mikel from this roster, Mikel is getting important in every season, he has short period to prove that but he still gets it. Chalobah is one of our talents, I'm sure he will find his way and get his spot in the team.

 

Other players can't really help, would be right to sell them. Also I'd add Oscar to the roster.

Add Piazon too.

It's easy to say we should sell this player or that player but the club have to find someone willing to buy the player and the player has to agree terms with that club. It's not a simple process.

So you want us to sell 4 of our first team players to fund a move for 1 player ? Our squad strength would look very weak. A lot of people seem to think that we need to sell a bunch of players just to raise funds to buy other players, we can spend money without selling players.

Im not saying sell them just for 1 player, but we can easily promote a ton of players we have out on loan or from our youth academy right now, instead of having some of these players. Like I'd much rather have RLC or Ake as a backup to matic than use Mikel.

Yeah thats just this weekend, but next season we would have recalled Bamford from loan (hopefully) and also other loanees 

I think Drogs will move over to the coaches next season. Hell, I'd have him just mentoring Bamfordinho for a season! We have plenty of loanees who will go in the summer and be replaced by more youngsters who will possibly never make the grade, it's what we do.

Why are people talking about selling Luis?! He is a top class LB and better going forward than Dave, good luck getting a better back up left back than him.

You are probably right but i still think its too early to sell. Like i said things in football can change so quickly.

They can i agree, but it feels like we are being very slow in integrating our young players into the team. We just seem to be using the same old players all the time and the youngsters hardly get a chance

Just a neutral opinion here, I really do rate Ramires; sure he isn't a player that you'll start every game or even start regularly but over the course of a season containing potentially 45/50+ games.

 

A player of his calibre; energy, pressing, speed, workrate would definitely come in use. He's a pretty solid player to have in your squad even if it's rotation or backup, therefore I definitely feel he's more than a fringe player. Players like Mikel are fringe players as they don't contribute much at all to the team aside from his physicality.

Ramires looks like he has lost a bit of everything to be honest. He isn't as quick, he isn't as good at pressing, his workrate isn't any better than anyone else in the team and his ball control, passing and shooting is woeful. There has only been one game this season where i have been happy with Ramires performance and that was against West Ham, other than that he has been poor everytime he has played this season.

Might get stick for saying this but I felt very confident seeing Mikel come on against Man United. Even though recently when he's come on things haven't always gone to plan I felt a sense of relief seeing him walk on to the pitch. And then he megsed Fellaini which was job done for me. I think Mikel is a good optiom to have on the bench and if I'm right a player like Mikel doesn't command an astronomical wage either so don't see the problem.

That's a fair point, but wouldn't that space on the bench be better used for a youngster? Fact is that we rarely play with Zouma in midfield so there's always the option of bringing him on to close out a game as well.

But on the other side you have the argument of if he is only in the squad to see out games when we're holding a lead then could that spot not be used on a youth player which would help with the homegrown quota. Zouma seems more than capable of playing the Mikel role. I think gradually as Zouma becomes more involved with the first xi as a CB we will see him moved into midfield for the last 10 mins or so with the back up CB coming on late in the game. Which could potentially work allowing us another squad spot.
