Wenger? Sportsmanship and Class? The guy has refused to shake more hands than a germaphobe after a loss and moans more than mourinho but gets away with it

Edited by Stim

There was a camera shot of an older lady clapping Cesc as he went off and a young lad, a few seats away, holding his finger up; going downhill rapidly.

We have also played great football this season and unlike your team, we know how to defend as well. What is the Arsenal way? It's a style that your team adopted and please tell me, how succesful has that style been, over the last decade? In 98, was that the Arsenal way? When you had more 1-0 victories under Wenger than we have had under Mourinho. Please don't joke, when you mention sportsmanship and class, is sportsmanship Wenger attacking another manager on the touchline? Is class Wenger mocking how Chelsea are playing, despite the fact that some of his only Premier League success has come when he did the exact same thing? Is class when you are being bitter and jealous because Chelsea are now the best team in London and have been for quite some time? How about this for class, Chelsea losing to Bradford and the fans and the club wished them nothing but success and donated money, that's class.

"The Arsenal Way" - great football, sportsmanship and class.

Arsenal may be no distinctions of Chelsea in the last 10 years, but build incredible stadium. Blue if you take something like this will fail and will delete the history. Abramovich will be forever at the forefront of this club and he leaves do not think I will leave it in perfect condition. Old and small stadium, permanently comply with financial fair play, senescent players ... we do not know who will take over then. Wenger on the other hand leaves an extraordinary legacy to their heirs - famed brand new stadium, financial stability, incredible school and especially "The Arsenal Way" - great football, sportsmanship and class. Things that Chelsea have never had and never will have. Teams like them and City are temporary, is see them where citizens are left only. Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool will always be the mark of the Premier League and to be at class and successful teams in London, Manchester and Liverpool. This figure would add Everton team won nine titles, more than any other team except the three mentioned above.

I suppose there are a few points that need correcting:

1) Complying with financial fair play is not a bad thing, in fact it is necessary.

2) Our squad's average age is lower than yours.

3) Abramovich has converted our debt into shares and written off the cost, enhanced our global brand, and revolutionised our academy. Moves have been made towards expanding the stadium, but council restrictions have been a roadblock.

4) If Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd are the benchmark of English football then we are f**ked in Europe.

5) Arguing that "sportsmanship and class" are inherent to any club is, to be perfectly frank, complete nonsense. We are all horrible cheats and sore losers in equal measure. This is a great example of clutching at straws and a level of delusion usually only found in Liverpool fans. Trust me when I say that is not the path you want to go down.

we need a Vikings thread started in the movies tv and films section.

Hi Ragnar, let me disillusion you further on your quest to believe Arsenal are the next coming.

In Arsenal invinciable Championship year 2003 - 2004 you amassed points tally of 90pts & goals for 73 - against 26 a G/D of 47

but your invinciable tag is a fraudulent claim, as you LOST 7 games that season.

C/L                      Arsenal 0 - 3 Inter Milan,   Dynamo Kiev 2 - 1 Arsenal 1 - 2 Chelsea,

League Cup        Arsenal 0 - 1 Middlesborugh,  Middlesborugh 2 - 1 Arsenal,

FA Cup                Arsenal 0 - 1 Man Utd

Last but not leased you lost the season opening Charity Shield game to Man Utd.

Chelsea & Jose first Premiership Trophy win 2004 - 2005 we amassed points tally of 95pts & goals for 72 - against 15 a G/D of 57

where we only LOST 6 games

C/L                     Porto 2 - 1 Chelsea,  Barcelona 2 - 1 Chelsea,  Bayern 3 - 2 Chelsea,  Liverpool 1 - 0 Chelsea,

FA Cup        Newcastle 1 - 0 Chelsea.

League        Man City  1 - 0 Chelsea

Conclusion is even in your invincible year you still could not out perform CHELSEA, what a burden you carry supporting that sorry outfit.

Chelsea First team Champion League winners 2012, Chelsea U19's Euro Champion League winners 2015.

Read & weep my poor boy.

And let's not forget that even that defeat against Man City came from a penalty for which the foul was outside the box.

At least Anelka eventually redeemed himself.

Chelsea records in the Premier League:

Most goals scored in a season: 103 (2009–10)

Fewest goals conceded in a season: 15 (2004–05)

Best goal difference in a season: 71 (2009–10)

Most goals scored at home in a season: 68 (2009–10)

Most clean sheets in a season: 25 (2004–05)

Most points in a season: 95 (2004-05)

Arsenal records in the Premier League:

Fewest failures to score in a match in a season: 0 (scored in every game), (2001–02)

---

To be fair, Arsenal have that one record. During that record breaking season they managed to score just eleven (11) goals more during the whole season than Chelsea managed to score at home in 2009/2010. And our goal difference in 2009/2010 was just eight goals fewer than Arsenal's total goals tally for that record breaking season and just two goals less than the total goals tally of the so called "invincibles".

Kind of funny you mention that 01-02 Arsenal team they always get forgotten amongst their title winning sides. I think even that team was better than their so called Invincibles.

If we pick apart the "Invincible" season even a bit further, we'll see an interesting story.

Out of Arsenal's 26 league wins 13 were by just a one goal margin.

During the season they managed to score more than two goals in just eight league matches.

Draw was the result in 12 league matches that season.

Seven of those 12 draws were 1-1 and four of those draws were 0-0

---

The season isn't over yet, but...

Out of our 23 league wins so far 10 have been by just a one goal margin. So at the moment our percentage is slightly better than "the invincibles" in that department.

We've managed to score more than two goals in eight league matches, which is equal to "the invincibles'" record, but the season is not over yet.

The result has been a draw in eight league matches for us this season. Only two of those have been 0-0.

---

If Chelsea has been the most boring league leader in the history of just about everything (like the popular opinion seems to be these days) this season, then what does that tell us about "the invincibles"? Sure, it hasn't been Chelsea's greatest ever season, but then again, we've set the bar quite high with our previous seasons.

I don't post on football forums very often, but over the years, I've noticed one thing that really stands out across the internet: Arsenal fans are nearly always incredibly deluded, horrible people. They're like vicious spoiled brats. It doesn't matter if they're young or old, male or female, they act like Arsenal FC is on an almighty level above all over clubs. They think their club shines the brightest, has always played the most "beautiful" football, and will always represent what football should be all about.

Reality never plays a part in an Arsenal's fans thinking. They always think back to the Bergkamp and Henry days, come over all warm and fuzzy inside, and then spout a lot of nonsense and vitriol towards other clubs(primarily Chelsea FC).  It's behaviour that makes me feel a bit sick, but I also have to laugh at how crazy it is. Arsenal fans need mental therapy, because they're stuck in a time warp that's frazzled their brains and made them extremely negative examples of the human race.

Hating other clubs isn't something I take pleasure in, but with Arsenal, I really do love to see them fail. It's only because the club's fans have terrible, sickening attitudes. There might be such thing as a nice, fair Arsenal fan, but I haven't noticed any over the years. It's most probably a rare breed, or extinct in a world full of Arsenal glory hunters who first noticed Arsenal in the late-1990s.

Let me tell you something funny, my old neighbours were Arsenal fans and lived in an Arsenal bible. We were watching Barcelona in 2008 and the Dad genuinely said, Barca play like Arsenal but it's not as quick. I just laughed my arse off, I said no Arsenal play similar to Barcelona who have played this football for god knows how long. They also play it much quicker and better. Honestly just shows you the idiots that support that club, they think they're something massively special.

People have been saying this since 2003 really. Yet, still here we are.
