April 23, 201511 yr on a lighter note, ill shut up now! On a lesser note, I've just blown up the toaster.
April 23, 201511 yr In the Michael Le Vell case the girl who was the accuser had Queens Counsel representation. How could she afford that? as i recall she was a very ordinary girl. An antipodean newspaper magnate perhaps?
April 23, 201511 yr I don't know about that specific case, but some are keen to offer pro bono in high profile cases as a win would mean publicity and so on.

April 24, 201511 yr Author Charged does not mean guilty though, they have every right to pick him. Bigthrobberus you seem to have already put the guilty verdict on him before he's had his day in court.
April 24, 201511 yr hope sunderland are relegated. So do I, but rather because it's a long trek for our players, not this.

Very true. It's a shame folk tend to jump the gun before the facts have even been heard, plenty of people have been charged and have gone on to prove their innocence.

April 25, 201511 yr The story Ive heard by someone in the know is this girl sent him a request for a signed shirt, Johnson then asked where she wanted it sent to and this is what the police are saying is the grooming he did, which sounds very harsh. She then met basically stalked him in a vip area of a night club and thats when he did the deed.
April 25, 201511 yr See my previous post that mentions grooming. Interesting and worrying some of the cases the cps does and does not pursue, Lord Janner, the snippets below. Read text under the vid box. http://order-order.com/2014/07/08/watch-former-tory-whip-boasts-about-paedo-mp-cover-up/#_@/xafw3635FRaZXg http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/11527938/Judge-in-underage-sex-case-says-she-feels-extremely-sorry-for-defendant.html Surely time and money, justice, law should be used wisely to address what the PM described as a national threat.
April 25, 201511 yr On the subject of the law in this country, how the f**k did they get away with this? It's disgusting. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/11560935/Shocking-CCTV-shows-Buckingham-Palace-Guard-and-other-soldier-stamping-on-victim-but-they-still-walk-free-from-court.html

April 25, 201511 yr Obviously all guesswork at the moment but if she looks a lot older and he pulled her in a nightclub then what can you do? He can't ask for ID every time he's about to sleep with someone and (worryingly) this could easily of happened to any member of the public let alone a footballer. It should be the nightclub/bouncers being charged instead for letting a child in.

Why not charge the child's parents for letting her out masquerading as an adult, and for not making sure she gets home at a reasonable time of night? Now, clearly this is not a 100% serious suggestion, but IF the scenario suggested above is the correct one, then the parents have to take a part of the responsibility. April 25, 201511 yr IF again, shouldn't there be consequences for lying about age? There are prosecutions for false allegation and it may be a deterrent if you knowingly mislead a club, or person about your age. If this was the case of course. As an aside, did anyone watch 'Ordinary Lies' BBC1, it had a story with a similar issue which was quite well done.

You are right Moi, I suppose when I say "charged" I didn't mean it literally, I was just pointing out there there would be people more responsible than Adam Johnson.Obviously her parents need to take a good look at themselves.
April 25, 201511 yr Haven't we all done things our parents had no control over? Isn't it part of growing to rebel within safeish boundaries? Sneak the sherry, crafty ciggie, I guess it's a balance of what is sneaky or unlawful.
April 25, 201511 yr It should be the nightclub/bouncers being charged instead for letting a child in. There's certainly a licensing responsibility here. She also gets in the VIP area. What sort of establishment is this. She's not 17, she's 15. Probably means she's a regular at the place. Frankly, their license should be revoked.
April 25, 201511 yr Fake ID? 14 is the age for criminal responsibility, so there needs to be a real deterrent to dissuade young people from lying about their age, IF this is pertinent to this situation.

March 24, 201610 yr Author BREAKING: Adam Johnson has been sentenced to six years in prison. What was he f**king thinking?
March 24, 201610 yr I posted this in another thread. must say it's a bit strange how he get's double what this girl got? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3506395/Woman-23-jailed-posing-man-called-Jason-online-sex-teenage-girls-convincing-one-victim-doesn-t-accept-duped.html I mean she basically raped a 13 year old girl and others.
March 24, 201610 yr His attitude to this done him no favours, he came across as arrogant and that is never going to go down well in this situation. He is appealing but the only thing I see him achieving with that is a slightly lesser sentence if anything. His career is over and he will be in for a very hard time in prison. What a fool
