Funniest bit of that game was when the Sky Sports cameras found Diego Costa in the stands with his younger brother, and watching the fans around them realize that he was there.

Even funnier when he got ushered away by the stewards.

:laugh2:

Gerrard's comments are like a trophy to the dippers, it's funny how Gerrard has only been a Liverpool player this long because his fans threatened him to stay.

Spot on, he'll never admit to that though.

I think he regrets his decision, people say yeah but he won the European Cup at Liverpool, well he was due to come after he'd won that. What are his moments after that, FA Cup final win, a league cup, a super cup and a community shield. Could have won so much more here.

Gerrard. Take your sh*t c**t family. Get on a plane and f**k off out of England. You vile c**t.

Oh please..it's only a game, there's no need for abuse like that.

Great day out although would've preferred the win obviously. Brogans was bouncing and atmosphere in the first half was brilliant and the scousers were silent for most of the time. "No noise from the history boys" and obviously loads of songs about the league, champions, Gerrard etc. And no, I didn't f**king clap when he went off but I'm sort of glad others did as it made us look charitable to an olden at the end of his career who never won the league

Well that was the most expensive friendly I've ever been to haha.

Great atmosphere first half, died off in the second a bit but surprisingly delighted with the applause Stevie G got.... Followed up with a ton more abuse.

Delighted for Ruben and was convinced he'd scored our first goal. Happy for JT though.

All in all, nothing to play for and played out a bit like a testimonial for Gerrard. Enjoyed the guard of honour, enjoyed hearing QPR got relegated and loved the applause for Greaves.

Highlight of the afternoon though... Erland Johnson coming out. Legend!

Lotus Cheek did well didn't he?

Now that you mention it, he did :-)

100% passing accuracy, I read. Sure, initially he was playing it safe, but that excellent tackle on Whatsisname was full of confidence.

I was impressed with him, I'm quite excited about him

Did you clap him? I couldn't. But as I said, glad others did. Still delighted at the reversal from last season - we went to their's and pissed on their parade and almost exactly a year later they come to us to form a guard of honour. Sweet.

The goal in Cardiff, the through ball for Drogba at Anfield, the assist to Demba Ba... Thanks for the memories Schtevie, we'll miss you x

Level some great moments that he did for others like his pass back to Henry when Arsenal beat them at Highbury or his sending off recently against Man U.

Yeah I did. End of the day he's a good player and I hate the scousers more than I hate him. He just represented them for 15 years or so.

Plus it was a classy move and that'll wind the scousers up more than anything. Now Rodgers on the other hand....

And Raheem Sterling, you do run like a girl.

I'd never applaud such a bitter scouse no mark.

Don't see why I should either, I'm not English so I have no ties to him whatsoever.

Good riddance to the most overrated player of the past 3-4 years.

Gerrard is either a moron or he's simply full of sh*t

A couple of trophies for "your people" is worth more than 10 at Chelsea or Real Madrid - whose leg is he trying to pull??

What trophies did he win for Everton then?

Nah, he's a bitter twat. Opposition fans target the best players on the opposing club by nature, when you stop being targeted you know your a spent force. We did though give him some recognition when he left the field and if he had half a brain he'd have recognised it.

I've already he said that he seems bitter about it.

Disappointed to see Loftus-Cheek get subbed after 60 minutes, although it looked to be the plan all along. Dominated Coutinho and played a lot better than Mikel who was on a yellow card. Delighted to see him start and put in a good shift though. Should be the first of many opportunities in the coming year.

At the time I was happy our fans gave him that ovation...after he pissed his pants in the post match interview, nah, should have sang him off with the slippy song.
