September 1, 201510 yr Oh yes, they are treating him so badly aren't they ?..........i mean, it's not like they aren't paying him thousands of pounds a week or anything....oh wait, that is exactly what they are doing. It's no wonder why people don't show respect to footballers like they do with other people in sport. His behaviour is also a worry for any purchasing club; the guy's got no loyalty; he is threatening not to play, etc. Spurs aren't the biggest of clubs - how loyal would Berahino be if he did well at Spurs (hypothetically, of course) and a bigger club came in for him?

Agreed. That type of attitude won't win him fans or suitors. I'm sure I would be frustrated too but sometimes you have to play the long game. We are all but pawns to fates hands on occasion.
September 1, 201510 yr It seems (from BBC) to be the case that Spurs were pissing WBA around re. Berahino and that Levy didn't make a serious bid. IF that's true, we'll come poorly out of this story as we may have helped Berahino to harm his career at WBA (and possibly England) for no good reason. Obviously, Berahino's tweet hasn't helped.
September 1, 201510 yr What's the problem, mate? The Belgians? Hi mate. No, it's Levy (our Chairman): he's a bit of a twat. How are you?
September 1, 201510 yr Not good, my friend. Not good at all. (but that's for another thread, isn't it?)
September 1, 201510 yr When does Benzema arrive at the Emirates? Did I miss it? No. Wenger thinks his team is good enough to win the league this season. Martin Keown was on Radio 5 earlier and he said (precis) "We're all only here once and time flies by so spend some money".
September 1, 201510 yr That's easy for Martin Keown to say - did they not even pick up Jonathan Walters? He wanted to leave Stoke...
September 1, 201510 yr That's easy for Martin Keown to say - did they not even pick up Jonathan Walters? He wanted to leave Stoke... No money was spent at all (aside from on Cech), apparently. The Telegraph is saying that the Gooners are the only team in Europe's top five leagues not to have bought an outfield player in the window. Edited September 1, 201510 yr by Spudulike
September 1, 201510 yr I feel so sorry for Moussa, Spudulike. He's pulled out of the national team but hopefully he will be fit soon. He's one of our really top class players.
September 1, 201510 yr good points there mate & we didn't even bring up the so-call Next Henry in Martial. 55£ for an unknown quality? Kun Augero & Diego Costa didn't cost that much. Hell makes me think those are bargain deals. BJ keep coming in here with the laughs. They are funny. martial is painfully average. monaco are pissing themselves laughing
September 1, 201510 yr martial is painfully average. monaco are pissing themselves laughing oh wow...excellent transfer there by manure
September 1, 201510 yr Last night I had this fear that Arsenal would buy Remy off us, thankfully it didn't happen. Arsenal is on track for the usual top 4 trophy, Wenger is happy with that.

The Telegraph is saying that the Gooners are the only team in Europe's top five leagues not to have bought an outfield player in the window. le arse made a total of 3 transfers. 1 coming & two out going transfers I was watching ESPNFC & they were just clowning the gooners. Saying their were on target for another 4th place finish
September 2, 201510 yr Author Manchester United getting into a pissing contest with Real Madrid over who was most incompetent over the De Gea transfer is hilarious. They've both made themselves look like dickheads with the official statements they've released.
September 2, 201510 yr Manchester United getting into a pissing contest with Real Madrid over who was most incompetent over the De Gea transfer is hilarious. They've both made themselves look like dickheads with the official statements they've released. The funniest thing is they are billion dollar companies. Billion dollar. And this is how they handle their transfer business - unbelievable!
September 2, 201510 yr So Chelsea have signed Papy Djilobodji. Arsenal have signed his cousin, Fuken Nobodji.
September 2, 201510 yr I think it's likely this was Real Madrid's doing. Who had a good motive for this transfer to fail at the last day/minute? Man U or Real? From Man U's standpoint they just lost 29 million. All they have got in return is an unhappy player they will lose next year for nothing or half that in January. And Real? They just saved 29 million and will still get De Gea in January or the summer. Its a win win for them. It feels like all the fingerpointing from them is simply to appease De Gea and say "see we did do our best to bring you here". Only real option, I can't believe Man U would be so stupid as to have sabotaged this transfer Edited September 2, 201510 yr by Kev123
September 2, 201510 yr Author United with four of the ten most expensive teenagers of all time? Crazy. How a 19 year old with almost no experience can be valued at £36m is completely lost on me.
September 2, 201510 yr The Times is reporting that the deal could rise to £50-£60m with add-ons as well.
