September 1, 201510 yr All the reports I'm reading are saying it was Madrid that f**ked up the paperwork, not United anyway...
September 1, 201510 yr Author Supposedly they're in for Berbatov as well, which would certainly be interesting, although I can't really think of anyone worse than Sherwood to serve as a motivator to a player like Berbatov. If Berbatov signs for Villa I would expect him gone come January. No way can I see him and Sherwood seeing eye to eye on footballing philosophies. That said they could still do with a decent striker after selling Benteke so who knows?
September 1, 201510 yr Centre back pairing of Lescott and Richards... They could certainly do a lot worse. Sherwood continuing to target a British core to his side by the looks of things. Smart business on his part if they stay fit. With Okore as a backup too. Pretty decent if you ask me for the level they are at.
September 1, 201510 yr Bellerin called up to the Spain squad, fantastic achievement that. Won't be long till he's off to Barcelona.
September 1, 201510 yr That is impressive considering he's up against Carvajal, Azpilicueta, and Juanfran. Presumably Arbeloa has retired from international football now?
September 1, 201510 yr Madrid issued interesting statement, Utd took 8 hours to reply, sending the documents at the death of the deadline, so its their fault really.

September 1, 201510 yr And when they take him on a free or at a further reduced fee in January I'm sure they'll have been shown a real lesson by Woodward. That may not happen. De Gea now has to think about his playing career and there's word going out that he's at least playing lip service to the idea of renewing his contract now. United are actually in a very strong position now. De Gea knows he needs to play for the Euros and we have the power to prevent that happening. He may end up signing a new deal with a release clause that would guarantee us a proper fee for him, and if Madrid really want him they'll have to pay it. If anyone comes off looking like mugs in this it's Madrid. they should have just stumped up the cash instead of leaving it till the last minute.

But considering the way United handled the Pedro deal with LVG trying to proclaim you never wanted him despite Woodward being in Barcelona to tie up the deal, it's not been a good window PR wise for United. You've already had Di Maria and Hernandez questioning LVG's methods having secured moves away from the club too.

Man U fans? I'm pretty sure LvG has pissed off de Gea to the point he wouldn't sign one and pricing him at £29m with 1yr left on his contract is ludicrous so I'm pretty sure de Gea won't be annoyed at Madrid for this debacle and can leave for free next summer, Madrid have showed how interested they are they almost reached an idiotic agreement to sign him a year early, that shows a lot of faith in de Gea not the opposite. He will leave next year for free. Man U / LVG look like mugs.

Then manure had Di Maria go AWOL. Then CFC snatched Pedro out of manure's hands. Then manure had this De Gea episode. So I will give you one thing though, it was fun to watch manure step all over their crank. Thanks for the Laughs

De Gea wants to leave and Utd sanctioned his transfer. You are in a very weak position, he is well into his last 12 months. You couldn't be in a weaker position. When he signs for Madrid he will be rich beyond his wildest dreams, because not only will his wages be astronomical but they'll be getting him for free thus his signing-on fee will be enormous. Meanwhile your lot will get nothing, for a great keeper. He wants to go to Spain, he wants to play for Madrid, he doesn't want to be at Utd, and what's happened here will only intensify that feeling. It's been completely mismanaged by your lot, comically so. Saying no deal and then at the last minute going to Real with your tail between your legs and saying, "Okay, you don't have to give us £33m, you don't have to give us Ramos or Bale, we'll sell to you anyway because we're f**ked otherwise", and then seeing the deal fall through due to your own administrative incompetence. You could have done business earlier in the window, as he wished, but you chose not to, and it's worked out disastrously for you. De Gea might play this season, you have little choice because you have nobody competent to replace him, but his heart won't be in it, you'll have an unhappy player, which is bad for morale, he'll be wary of getting injured now that he hasn't got the security of a contract, and there won't be much goodwill from the fans, who'll know where his heart lies. Furthermore, you have Woodward and Van Gaal running your club, and it's getting more embarrassing by the minute. I'm sorry mate I admire your attempts to spin it but you ain't fooling anyone.
September 1, 201510 yr Utd needed more attackers, yet they give away wilson, januzai and chicarito and sign martial, an unknown teen from france; so they have actually worsened their situation. i mean we haven't been great, but utd have kind of messed up there. what happened to chicarito anyway? why did he never get a chance considering utd were in need of a striker?
September 1, 201510 yr Apparently Arsenal are the only club in the top 5 leagues not to have signed an outfield player. good old Arsene.

Kun Augero & Diego Costa didn't cost that much. Hell makes me think those are bargain deals. BJ keep coming in here with the laughs. They are funny.
September 1, 201510 yr Saido Berahino ?@SBerahino 3m3 minutes ago Sad how i cant say exactly how the club has treated me but i can officially say i will never play Jeremy Peace.
September 1, 201510 yr How much of a spoilt pr*ck is Berahino acting. Why not just shut up and put up. If they don't want to sell you then run your contract down.
September 1, 201510 yr Saido Berahino ?@SBerahino 3m3 minutes ago Sad how i cant say exactly how the club has treated me but i can officially say i will never play Jeremy Peace. Oh yes, they are treating him so badly aren't they ?..........i mean, it's not like they aren't paying him thousands of pounds a week or anything....oh wait, that is exactly what they are doing. It's no wonder why people don't show respect to footballers like they do with other people in sport.
September 1, 201510 yr Suppose it could be worse, check out this thread on Arsenal Mania: http://arsenal-mania.com/forum/threads/wengers-transfer-targets.28324/ 458 pages of "Wenger's Transfer Targets" since July, and they signed none of them.
September 1, 201510 yr Speaking of money. LVG quarter billion! Makes me feel ill. And he has f**k all to show for it so far. Madness. Are we running out of top footballers or something ? There is something not right about a kid who has proven nothing joinging a club for £35 million. Has the lack of top footballers dipped that much or are scouts just not doing their job ?
