August 30, 201510 yr I would rather wait and see than concede that city are champions in waiting. If there's one league u can't predict it's the prem. Edited August 30, 201510 yr by enigma
August 30, 201510 yr Most of these worries were in pre-season though. No one is jumping the gun here.
August 30, 201510 yr Four games in and already starting to look like city's title to lose...ourselves, arse, Liverpool and Utd just don't look good enough to challenge them...still hope we get our arses in gear, but fear by the time we do, we will have left ourselves too much ground to make up Brit, you have been around long enough to know titles aren't won in September. newcastle 95/96? United 98 United 2012 Arsenal 2014 We would of course swap places with City but now we have to focus on the best come back of all time
August 30, 201510 yr It's because i put him in my Fantasy Football team. He was looking like he was when he was playing for Southampton in the first 3 games of the season.......now i have put him FF team, he is sh*t again. I curse people, i did the same to Mahrez today you put Lovren in your fantasy team ...

No point pretending all is rosy, we are terribly undercooked, and it's hard to see an easy win.. We really need to spank some one 4-0
August 30, 201510 yr No point pretending all is rosy, we are terribly undercooked, and it's hard to see an easy win.. We really need to spank some one 4-0 We've Arsenal at the Bridge on 19 September - perfect timing for that...
August 30, 201510 yr you put Lovren in your fantasy team ... But......he was doing so well after 3 games, i thought i was onto something
August 30, 201510 yr But......he was doing so well after 3 games, i thought i was onto something at least you didn't pick Ivanovic...
August 30, 201510 yr Fenerbahce fans utterly disgraceful on social media, the Celtic response has been superb :)
August 30, 201510 yr Fenerbache fans have threatened with knives, Celtic have responded with same image except holding up a spoon, a plastic fork and so on. I purposely didn't post the awful knife posts from the social media. Edited August 30, 201510 yr by Droogba
August 30, 201510 yr When we put Celtic out the cup 2 years ago, I don't think I've ever celebrated or lost my voice so much in my life. My local team haven't beaten the old firm since I've been alive. It was wild. At 1 minute off you can clearly hear the song 'We're Greenock Morton, we're better than you' Sing that against anyone in a 'not arrogant just better' approach.
August 30, 201510 yr Guess I'm unusual for finding knife threats against folk deplorable. No you are not. My post was only to illustrate that often clubs whose fans are liked by the media have an unseen nastier side - I in no way meant to condone the disgusting threats made by those Turkish supporters. It's a game for God's sake...
August 30, 201510 yr My post referred to those on social media, knife wielding fans and Celtic fans' funny responses no more than that, I understand a number of fans are different from others.
August 30, 201510 yr Man Utd have spent an astronomical amount of money in the last year and still have a lot of garbage. Romero looks awful. Blind and Smalling are weak. Darmian looks at are though and Shaw looks fitter, finally. Ashley Young and Rooney are brutal too and don't get me started on their other 'striker' Fellaini. That was Romero's first bad game, he has been decent (bar his distribution) thus far. Obviously no where near as good as De Gea, but if we do not sell David and can get his head right for this season we should be fine there. Agree on Blind being weak. Van Gaal chooses him because he is mentally and positionally very clever, is left footed and also is very good at passing out from defence. He is too short, weak and slow to play as a CB though, that is the problem. I could not disagree more with Smalling. He has been our best player so far this season and is looking like he will be a very important part of our season. He has been an absolute beast, though his passing still leaves a bit to be desired. Call me deluded, etc. but having watched Smalling grow and become the player he is, there is no CB in the league I would change him for. Even Kompany or Otamendi. Agree with the rest though.

To be honest, I was basing Smalling on last season. He has looked a different player this year and I was very unfair. What happened to Rojo? Does this new long ball tactic annoy you, as a fan? That would drive me insane.

Does this new long ball tactic annoy you, as a fan? That would drive me insane. Yep, since the red card at City last year, he has looked a brand new player. Utterly brilliant, though he really needs to work on his ball skills. I think Rojo still isn't fit, but I would imagine he would replace Blind when he comes back. Van Gaal has this weird obsession with playing a left footed player at LCB. That's part of the reason why we didn't go for any of the right footed LCBs this summer. It's mental. We don't play long ball all the time, only really when Fellaini comes on. It does annoy me, but then it has been effective in the last few minutes of the game a number of times. People forget that under Fergie we were a quick counter attacking team, not a Barca-esque passing one, so we've always been about going as quickly as possible from box to box. Having said that we have got to be better than lumping the ball up to Fellaini, regardless of his godly chest control and heading ability. The slow build up play annoys me more than anything else. We can probably say the same thing about Arsene Wenger's teams never doing well from set pieces or not shooting enough or Mourinho teams that play too defensively being very annoying for fans though.
