PSG vs. Chelsea (CL) 16/02/16 KO: 19:45 BST

His girlfriend had a baby earlier this season. Practically all new parents are distracted, stressed, and have their sleep screwed up.

Or maybe the lack of competition with Cech gone has caused complacency? Thibaut wasn't so great before the injury either. At the same time, his form hasn't been any worse than the team in general. Maybe even above average. Manchester United has underperformed too but not nearly as much. If they were the mess that Chelsea has been, you might see de Gea underperform too.

That is fair.

Although when I watch United's game, De Gea seems to be only one who seems to be saving their beacons. Without him, they would be somewhere near us. Can't argue that he has been world class this season even with that United side. The same cannot be said about Courtois. ...

Gestapo tactics, only way to deal with English racist hooligan fans

You f**king what?

20 seconds in you can hear a quick blast of it go off.

I hear the sound you're talking about, but if it is what you think it is and it was sprayed at someone, why can't we see or hear anyone reacting to it? Other than the person who shot the video (I'm assumng it's him) saying "we've got it all on tape" (or something along those lines). I'm not saying it's cool what they're doing even if tear gas wasn't actually used, but I don't think the video proves anything other than that they had tear gas and threatened to use it. The title suggests it was used, but it wouldn't be the first time a youtube video had a misleading title.

Anyone else hear more about this?

Pretty harsh treatment for just celebrating a goal

Obviously I wasn't there, it looks as though there may have been a bit of goading and the French uniform held the canister as a warning to prevent potential issues.

The French in Paris must feel a bit edgy and no one could blame them.

DKW, I think you and I need to chill out ;)

Yep, though it is a a match thread so it's no surprise we expect the worst ha ha.

I think it's understandable that tensions amongst security forces is high in France, and English clubs do still carry the burden of our past hooligan element.

But fair play to the fans for not reacting, in the past he would of been pelted with all sorts of things.

In the second leg, PSG scored first, but then we scored to tie it up. That got the fans really excited and loud. Then we scored another, and in the 79th minute Oscar scored a beautiful break away goal to send us up 3-1. The fans started chanting, "Park the bus", but our players would have none of that and scored a fourth goal in injury time.

I was ecstatic!

Then my alarm clock went off

(This really happened last night.)

Can't see a thread for the return game but:

Courtois

Azpilicueta, Cahill, Ivanovic, Rahman

Mikel

Fabregas, Willian

Hazard

Traore, Costa

Diamond formation

Smash the heck out of them.
