What will the end of the unbeaten streak do to team morale?

What will the end of Costa's streak of great performances do to him?

The impact of the loss tonight could have a greater impact than the numbers suggest.

I'm living in an alternative universe.

Hazard wasn't poor he played at a level he has been at all season people just bash him now because he's an easy target.

No, people bash him because he has no drive.

He was our weak link in this match.

Willian should start at number 10 ahead of Oscar all the time. He's so hard to catch when he turns and starts driving through the middle.

Especially in the Champions League. You get more space in this competition than you do the Premier League. Willian looked dangerous every time he drove forward tonight.

Good result all things told. I was surprised how poor PSG were in some areas and Verratti clearly wasn't fully fit, but we had far more of the ball then I expected and if a few things go the other way then we maybe get a win.

Having said that the old problems were still there. Hazard wasn't incisive, the midfield was overrun and when players got tired we simply didn't have the squad depth to make changes. Compare that with the impact PSG's subs had and the game was crying out for someone like Ramires who excels in stretched games.

Apart from that Cesc and Baba were two high points, with the latter looking more than comfortable at this level. The return leg will be a tough one because we need to score but it's certainly doable although I can't imagine PSG would be this open again.

It's no surprise that the players were tired. Look at the schedule they've had and the mental exhaustion. PSG has played even more games in a short time, but they were against weaker sides with absolutely zero pressure.

The human body has limits, even the huge outliers.

And now Manchester City in 5 days. :greysweat:

If we'd used the squad better it wouldn't have been a problem. It's a mistake we seem to make year in year out.

More than anything though we need JT back for the second leg and Matic to stay away from the 1st team. If we sort out our organisation when attacking then we'll have a chance

So the guy who carried us last season to the title is now useless. And we wonder why he wants to leave with attitude like this from SOME fans. Having a poor season doesn't equate to having no drive.

Baba good, hazard poor. Their midfield very strong. Think that Traore or Kennedy might make a better h2 sub when chasing a goal due to more speed.

I think people may be taking this the wrong way. While I don't feel the performance was great, I also feel that both of their goals could have been easily dealt with. I'm not saying we played shockingly

Really, you remember what you wrote, right?

”Absolutely disgusted with that. Both of their goals were completely avoidable but that shouldn't mask an indifferent performance from us.

I don't think there has been much of an improvement under Guus"

The prosecutor strikes!

Very good performance from the boys tonight, all of them deserved praise for the effort and fighting spirit. As to the 2-1 loss away - well, PSG at their peak of the game for many years just squeezed past Chelsea at their worst crisis for years - in a very even contest. I hope we stuff them at the Bridge. We are the Champions, they have seen the cup only on the telly.

Turning up overweight and never coming close to matching the standards he set might equate to that though?

Other players have got far more stick this year but responded like true professionals. They did their talking on the pitch.

Eden hasn't.
