Everton v Chelsea FA Cup

Featured Replies

Kenedy starting at left back is embarrassing.

£35m spent on left backs in two years and a 20 year old winger bought from Brazil in his debut season is getting picked there.

Mikel and Matic pairing is just so negative, Fabregas is so much better playing from deep, we're double punishing ourselves with those selections.

Not sure why the club bothered signing Pato if the coach had no intention on ever giving him a chance.

There should be no reason why that XI doesn't get it done today. Unfortunately, this season there is no reason to expect anything but defeat. Never looked forward to an offseason more than this one. But somehow in a mere 10 minutes or so I'll believe we'll be firing on all cylinders somehow some way! KTBFFH!

I'm glad that little c**t Hazard isn't in the squad, playing Mikel and Matic = a loss

Fair do's and all that, but is it really necessary to refer to our own as c ?

I admire your optimism. I'd still be happy to sneak it 1-0 or even take a draw and a replay at the Bridge

It's not based on us being good to be honest. We're a decent team with a couple of exceptional players, but this Everton team are naive in the extreme. They've got the makings of a good team but Martinez isn't the man to get them there so I'm expecting us to win this quite comfortably.

Plus we're about due a 'turning the corner' moment because we haven't really had one since we beat City at home.

I can see the thinking behind playing Fabregas further up, they will look to press us high with their fragile back line so playing him higher may give him more time to pick holes in their defence.

The challenge will obviously be to get the ball to him as quickly & precisely as possible.

If Costa has any sort of tightness or whatever in his muscle, like Hazard, he should not be involved.  If he goes off injured today again, there will be some fuming words coming Hiddinks way

This game is our season now, risks must be taken.

I wonder if conte will fancy either as lwb if we go 3-5-2

He'll certainly be an option, but Kenedy has only played a few games at LB so his consistency is yet to be seen. He impressed me against Di maria though.
