Frustrating match tonight, we dominated but only managed to score from a freekick. I knew the equaliser was coming to.

I blame Woy ultimately, Kane looked f**ked the whole game and should have been subbed sooner. Taking Rooney off was ridiculous aswell. Add to that his subs were uninspiring in Wilshere and Milner. Awful. When will England get a manager that isn't a dinosaur?

I'm not usually the militant type but Roy needs to go.

good performance in spells, unfortunately it also underlined that our defence cannot be trusted.

disappointed with sterling going off as well, he was keeping the russians 30 yards deeper simply by being on the field. we needed vardy on once he went off.

I'm not too down though- that team is good enough to win the group. when we face better teams we'll have a problem incorporating alli and rooney into the midfield, though both played well tonight.

Disappointed to see Sterling go off ? he should have been off far earlier than he was. If we took him off, maybe we would have gotten a goal earlier. All he did was run and give the ball away. He completely bottled a chance to score from Kane's cross in the first half, all he needed to do was stick a foot out and it was a goal, but he was scared of what was around him. He was just another Walcott / Lennon out there. Run's fast, but has zero end product. He may be worse than those 2, at least they can score every so often, Sterling is one of the worst finishers i have seen.

for the reason I gave, yes. I think he's better than those players you mentioned- he's much less of a straight lines player and I think is generally a smarter footballer. but I agree his end product needs a lot of work.

the russians had a very slow back four and after sterling went off they were emboldened to step up the pitch. the cross we conceded from would not have been an issue if it was aimed at one target on the edge of our box.

so I'm disappointed from a tactical point of view rather than based on his individual performance. when he came off we needed to have one of rashford, sturridge or (preferably given the situation) vardy on the pitch to make slutsky feel less secure in moving his team 30 yards up the field.

BREAKING NEWS

Press Association: UEFA are to open disciplinary proceedings over the fan violence in Maresille. They say Russia are facing stronger sanctions after Russia fans attacked England supporters in the stadium after the final whistle.

Violence seen on the news is just awful

Woman and children being trampled, people fighting for there lives in hospital, is it too drastic to say let's call it all off?

The Russian fans have come looking for trouble. This is happening in France, what the hell is it going to be like in Russia for the world cup ?

I feel sorry for the Slovakia and Wales fans, they are yet to experience this.

I have wondered the same. It's not worth someone dying. Russian football fans think French are soft. This is how the Russian Police react to fan violence. Warning - pretty firmly: https://youtu.be/BKIQjOS_9C4

Hodgson thought that Russia's goal was a good goal..........no Hodgson, the player you bought on cocked up and then our defense made a complete mess of it.

On the radio he emphasised the positives but, on the contest, this is now a results-based thing. If we '...play well apart from 15 minutes...' we'll go out.

That's brutal, the French have no idea how to handle these thugs.

It is brutal. Any England fan who plans to go to Russia, to get pissed and chuck chairs about, is in for a shock. I hope people think carefully before going.

There has been a lot of talk in recent times that hooliganism is on the rise, maybe it's true. Even Northern Ireland and Poland fans are at each others throats now https://twitter.com/footbalIfights/status/741747469143441408?ref_src=twsrc^tfw

When Poland last played in Belfast their fans tried to get things to kick off. Like the Russians their travelling fans are out for a scrap. We were afraid isis could an issue in France but it looks likely this tournament could be marred by old fashioned hooliganism.

Not sure if true, just reading several tweets that the first death has occurred, England fan pushed in front of train, apparently the tournament may be canceled, not sure how truthful these reports are.
