Had a terrible first half to the Cup final but was much better second and widely praised for the CL game

What's the issue with him?

He was an absolute disaster for our game against Spurs and had a poor FA Cup where he exhibited lack of professionalism.

To be fair, he did well in Champions League and handled the Croatia flares incident well.

The war against Spurs reminded me of WC Final 2010 under Webb, one of those games where when the players turn up with that sort of mentality, what can he do? The spectacle in terms of football suffers either way.

He can try booking players for booting hazard all over the pitch, and send players off that deserved it. Hes a preening, poncing, look at me twat.

Only the Spurs players turned up with that mentality. With the incompetence Clattenburg showed to not properly send off players, it's only through luck that none of our lads were injured.

Clattenburg also acted very unprofessionally before the FA Cup as evidenced by these pictures in the tunnel.

If you want to see a preening poncing look at me twat, watch the Copa America final. Not saying Clattenburg isn't, but that guy took it to a new level.

I was genuinely pleased for Wales and how far they progressed in this tournament but the celebrations on their return to Cardiff struck me as a bit over the top for a team that only reached the last 4

I'm pretty sure the Iceland players will or have been feted similarly for making the quarterfinals. Yes it does look a little small time, but that shouldn't be said in a derogatory way; that's what they are--small countries.

They massively performed above their skill level and put larger and more renowned teams to shame with their teamwork, effort, and passion.

Publicly celebrating their accomplishments can also inspire kids who are just starting out, and it may increase merchandising revenue and tickets for international matches and friendlies, so the Iceland and Wales FA can benefit financially as well.

These are major breakthroughs for football in those countries. It may be the start of something great, or it may not come again for generations. Either way, I don't see a problem with them making the most of it.

If they start to consistently reach the same point at international tournaments and they have a parade each time, that would be different.

Very clever if you ask me. Organising a bus parade and taking advantage of their greatest ever footballing triumph will no doubt live in the memories of millions of welsh people and it’s a brilliant opportunity for welsh football to progress.

I'm glad i'm not the only one that thought so.

It's like a poor side reaching a champions league semi final and then having a major celebration after going out.

He was rubbernecking the big stadium screen when the camera went in close up on him in his last game, his eyes glanced up and then quickly looked away, tried looking cool, but he'll never live down the horse impression he did

There is also this.

I mean, what the hell is he even doing here ? he must have been on something because i can't think of any reason why anyone in a normal state would ever do this.

Can't think of a French player that I dislike. Even though you have Spurs and Arsenal players in the team. I have nothing against Lloris, Koscielny or Giroud. Would prefer France to beat Portugal. The look of delight on Pepe's face during the Wales game is something I don't want to see again.

I think Evra is a bit of a twat.

Hopefully this replay ends the debate about the Schweinsteiger handball. After seeing this, it's hard to argue that it wasn't a penalty. Phenomenal gutsy call by the linesman. (It was the linesman who noticed it and told the referee.)

Up until that point France were not in the game, I hate the way the game turned on that call. It's a shame they can't see every incident, the amount of players getting away with things, especially at corners and free kicks, shirt pulling, grabbing players and throwing them down, arms all around a player, it could easily be cleaned up with a few consistent penalties and red cards. It just leaves a sour taste in the mouth when the home nation get all the hawk eye officials. Where were they when Lampard........

The fact that he shows he can be a good ref, and that means in the PL he just decides not to be.

Can't argue with that. If Germany were the host nation, I have a feeling the linesman would have stayed quiet or subconsciously not noticed it. I posted the replay to show that the call was the right one, not to suggest that all the other calls were also right.

Precisely. He was good in the Champions League final and has been good this tournament. Yet just weeks earlier, he was sh*t in the FA final and our match against Spurs.

It's impossible for an experienced referee to go from being sh*t one week to suddenly being very good. I don't know if it's intentional or even conscious, but something doesn't make sense.

I'm sure he's extremely deft politically as well. A lot of these decisions are influenced by factors other than merit.
