Well done to England. As you say bluedave you sometimes have to forgive selfishness when that us the result. Vardy and Alli also important in the build up.

Interesting for England having played quite poorly (game resembled something from the Championship by the end) and won versus having played well against Russia and only drawn. Not sure I'd play Vardy and Sturridge from the start against Slovakia. At least not up top. Prefer the 433.

Also anyone else wish we had a few more CFC going round for England? Too many Spuds for my liking.

Alli was poor but improved second half when he had more willing forwards. Sterling was like a man down and Kane was diabolical.

Ukraine should comfortably dispose of Northern Ireland but I can see this game being really boring.

Yes, a huge three points for England! They didn't play well but in these tournaments its only about getting the points and advancing.

As for the stat I think it was England had never come back and won a game at a major tourney when trailing at halftime.

I thought we have been excellent in both games....

 

Now he (Woy) knows not to start with Sterling and Kane then I can see us doing well. Great to see. 

 

England's so called Achilles heal the defense to me have been pretty good if you ask me . Apart from the keeper who has been okay but prone to stupid mistakes, always has been.

Can't always trust them, one said that Arsenal's 4-0 FA Cup win was the biggest ever in the FA Cup. Yet there's been a 4-0 (game we don't talk about) before in the final so not sure why they got that one wrong.

I can see Yarmolenko and Konoplyanka having a field day against this dross.

Only bad thing about the game watching it at work (well not only thing but worst thing) was not having any sound on.

This feels like a league one match. Two awful teams.

Northern Ireland really should be ahead by now. Some poor decisions in the final third. I hope they bring on Will Grigg for the atmosphere.
