I hate watching England in tournament football, i can't remember ever watching a game involving them and enjoying it.

Tbf to Slovkia they have defended well, Skrtel's been fantastic for them.

 

 

We have made it very easy for them though, we are so slow in our build up play.

Could be a blessing in disguise if England finish 2nd and avoid Spain in the quarters.

In the meantime remind me how Wales are doing against a team we struggled to score a goal against ?   3-0 up, and Wales scored twice against this Slovakia team as well.

We just are not clinical enough up front. It showed against Russia, wales and Slovakia.

I don't think Portugal can finish second. If they beat Hungary they win the group.

If they draw, then either Iceland or Austria finish above them I'm sure.

Yeah, we should beat them, but we should have comfortably won all 3 of our group games too.

Roy had a chance to kick on after the late winner against Wales and really throw the team into the tournament on the front foot.

 

Making as many changes as he did was a gamble that he must take the blame for.

 

Luckily it may be forgotten quickly if we get Iceland next and avoid Spain in the QF and take on a not so good France.

How much is it Hodgson's fault as opposed to the players simply not caring enough and not being committed enough and/or not being good enough?

I can see them doing this to any manager.

Hodgson made the changes everyone wanted, and the results weren't any better. That suggests that maybe his original decisions weren't as bad as people thought.

Making as many changes as he did was a gamble that he must take the blame for.

If he hadn't made so many changes, I think the result would have been the same, and people would be upset that he didn't make more changes.
