Before anyone jumps the bandwagon, I am not saying he's as good as, just pointing out similarities.

Before Payet came, the media likened him to Zidane in playing style and I can see why. Very good in tight spaces and excellent with both feet. His vision and ability is excellent. If he was 4 years younger he would be selling for crazy money.

I've known him for some time as I follow Marseille for years. That said the level of clubs he has been his entire career show how underrated he has been. Marseille is a great club, but in financial crisis for years, so they fact they managed to get Payet from Lille basically highlights that he was 'undiscovered' or at least 'underrated'.

He's not been underrated, just a player with way too much baggage. Just got his acts together, a bit late though as I don't think his age will let him earn a big money move to one of the top clubs in Europe.

Could end up being an Arshavin style signing on the back of one tournament for someone. Actually a similar player really. Great end product some issues with mentality and allround game.
