It's a drop in the ocean to United. They are a money printing machine.

The fee is irrelevant.

They're also in enormous debt, much like us. I think we're the two clubs most in debt. The business model of most football clubs looks unsustainable, and every year I think the bubble is finally going to burst, but instead it keeps growing. Yes the new Sky Sports deal will increase revenue, but not so much as to allow clubs to spend 100 million on a player not named Messi or Ronaldo. It's f**king insane.

Barca have signed Andre Gomes for £40 million. Can't wait to see him progress in that team over the next few years. Special player.

Jesus I thought he was Madrid bound

Yeah looks like Barca have just Willianed him  :laugh2:

With Umititi and Digne, that's 3 young talented players that Barca have got so far. Great window for them. The bar stewards.

^ That's interesting, maybe there was a bit of a tiff over being considered for the England job. I wonder where he would go next; have Sunderland officially appointed Moyes? Is there a chance the Allardyce deal could fall apart?

Also Carles Gil has gone to Deportivo on loan which is a shame, he would have torn the Championship to shreds (especially under Robbie)

I think he had to go with the way he was talking about the England job. It's clear he's done all he can at Hull and I think he knows that.

I have two Hull mates at work one wanted Bruce gone anyway as he feels the club needs a new direction and the other wanted him to stay. Strangely he's their most succesful ever manager so at least he's leaving on the back of a promotion and not a relegation.

Bruce reportedly leaves Hull

From what I've heard, the Hull owner is a pain in the butt to work with. I don't think Bruce will be unemployed for long. Once the sackings start, he'll have a job again, either in a lower table Premier League club or a higher table Championship club.

Anyone had a go at that which PL Manager are you thing on Sky Sports?

I was Pochetino haha

I got Klopp. But in reality, being a Premier League manager is one of the jobs in least suited for. I'd prefer to be a back room staff member like Steve Holland.

Had a look on a Hull City forum, they reckon that Bruce and the owners had been at loggerheads for a while, and David Burns (BBC Humberside) thinks that Bruce had reached the end of his patience at their lack of transfer activity, but is "distraught" to have left Hull.

I wonder where he'll go next - perhaps a brief sabbatical from football?

According to the Guardian, Hull's owner is seriously ill, and his son, who is second-in-command and thus temporarily(?) in charge, is looking to sell the club, hence the lack of transfer activity.

I hope Diamé, Elmohamady and Snodgrass can get out of their before their undeniable talents are once again tragically misapplied to sh*t clubs. At least Diamé-era Wigan were hilarious...

Take over from Sam?

^ I was under the impression they were quite seriously linked with Moyes. I wouldn't be hugely surprised though, he knows the club and is still in the area (and might cost less salary-wise?).
