Couple of ways. There are bots which play the game for you using scripts on a PC, which means they can move around 24/7 using faked GPS coordinates, always throwing perfect throws, etc... a bot playing for about 24 hours will get you up to about level 20 i think, with tonnes of high level stuff.

 

Then there are just gps spoofers, who play the game but fake where they are, so they can catch things from other locations, like other countries or common spawns of rare pokemon. 

 

Minutes after it was released in Brazil for example, loads of gyms were taken over by level 2000+ pokemon.

Few egg hatches and a few new catches whilst walking the dog last night.

 

Finally evolved my Eevee into a Jolteon, CP 837

 

Hatched a Tentacool. CP 225

 

Hatched a Sandshrew. CP 203

 

Caught a Poliwag. (didn't have one before) CP 205

 

Caught a Voltorb. (didn't have one before) CP 150

 

Evolved my Krabby into a Kingler. CP 543

 

Not the most impressive but not bad for an hours walk with the pup. Also stopped off in the local on the way home for a cold on, so the night just got better and better.

Does your local allow you to bring the dog in? If so that's amazing, i'd love that, we have one bar here in Dublin where people bring their dogs in, it's wonderful. 

I'm constantly surrounded by Drowzees, Staryus and Rattatas, can't seem to find any decent pokemon around, although in fairness i walk the same route to and from work every day

14.. got a couple of lucky eggs which I'm very shortly about to activate and go on an evolving spree though.  I keep seeing very similar pokemon though, haven't had a new one in 2 or 3 levels.

I don't know the specifics on how long it takes the bot to level up, it might not be that quick, but I can assure you it is a well known and widespread problem in some places. e.g. https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/4w4v7g/botting_has_absolutely_broken_this_game/

I just found a 800+ Ponyta (never seen one before). It escaped three ultra-balls and then ran away, the bar steward.

Banned in Iran. Ban implemented by the High Council of Virtual Spaces. Sounds like something out of the Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy.

I got an Onix from my 10km egg which apparently is decent. The trouble is, because I'm a low level its CP is rubbish... Surely it's pretty pointless catching decent ones while still a low level?

Yes my local allows dogs in! Its a very traditional old pub, not one of these new wetherspoons or anything like that. Around Christmas time there is a man that always comes in with a small Shetland pony, not something you see everyday in a pub that's for sure!

Although Onyx is a nice pokemon they never really get high CP and they are one of the worst to try and attack or defend gyms with so it's not a major loss it being a low CP. Nice to add to the Pokedex though!

Amazing. That's the type of pub i would go to regularly, in my old local before i moved to the city the owner had two labradors that used to chill in the pub, gave the place a nice atmosphere when you walked in the door and had two happy dogs wagging their tails to greet you.

Yes, they could put the tracking back. I've lost interest of late. When they put that back, I'll be playing it again

I just got a 100% IV Dratini from my 10k egg 

I have two 10 km eggs on 8.3 km. I usually leave the app open when driving to/from the office so hopefully I should be able to hatch them today.

 

I'm also losing interest a bit, until recently I was just trying to level up but now I'm at level 20 and it gets quite annoying when most Pidgeys and Weedils have 200+ CP and take multiple Pokeballs to catch (if they don't run away). I often just ignore them now. I also can't be bothered trying to take over gyms because the combat system is sh*t...

Well said. Probably the most frustrating thing is to see the pidgeys run away.

Got a low CP Electabuzz, could be much worse . .. though i havent caught a Venonat yet haha. Just played my lucky egg too and went on an evolving spree evolving new pokemon; Pidgeot, Starmie, Fearow, Beedrill Hypno and Dragonair, levelled myself up twice evolving all the lads. Also decided to rename my Onix 'Anal beads' just for sh*ts and giggles

And they've brought back XP for good throws, curveballs etc!
