Manchester United have just given permission to let Matteo Darmian go. Yes or no? Pro's and Con's listed below:

Pro's:

- Full Back, can play left side or right side, meaning we can get rid of ivanovic, and put in someone who isn't a liability

- Most likely less than 30m Euros, he was bought for about 12m to go to United, chances are the most they'll ask for is about 30m.

- He's experienced in Serie A with Torino, so Conte could be interested

Con's

- It's Manchester United, so they're a rival

- Didn't have the most brilliant season last year, like most of United's squad

- United will most likely over inflate is actual price tag to something ridiculous

Cheers!

Doesn't chip in with enough goals/assists for me, would prefer we spent extra on Ricardo Rodriguez. That said if we can't sign Rodriguez I'd take him for £8-9m, anything more and we'd be getting fleeced.

I'm a fan, although he didn't really tear up trees last season. On the other hand, he was a part of the division's strongest defence.

There are certainly positives:

- He's been 'broken into' the Premier League

- He should theoretically be entering his prime at his age

- He has an already-existing working relationship with Conte

- He can play in either full-back position

- It's a position in which we sorely lack numbers

I don't know that Man Utd could be convinced to sell though; their only serious options in that position currently are Valencia and Phil Jones. Not ideal for a side aiming for the title.

Not a fan, terrible positioning and poor in 1v1. Defensive liability

I was always under the impression that it was the other way around, terrible in attack but good defensively. I remember him being really solid before his injury.
