Spuds Vs Chelsea (PL) Wed 04/01/ 2017 KO 20:00 GMT

I'm aware of the massive threat that Spurs possess but I am very relaxed about this game and marginally confident that we can get a win. We have a fully fit squad who overall are better than Spurs. Play to our maximum and we win this 3-1.

Need an early goal to settle the nerves.

They scored first in the the last game against us, after that goal they got nervous and never had another shot on target.

Spurs overran our midfield in the first the last time we played. Hope Conte has something up his sleeve.

It looked like they owned midfield, but we allowed them to come forward, it was obviously part of our tactics to sit back and stay compressed, and only press them when they were in our half. And it did work in the main because they hardly broke through our defence, only being beaten by a wonderful strike.

Whos gonna score?

They are delusional c**ts aren't they?

I saw the thread in the fightingcook. On one page there a lot of pictures of Hazard laying on the pitch after horrendous tackles. It all ended with the "c**t". Why is he a c**t exactly? Because of the equalizer last May?

These chokers f**ked themselves after the draw with West Brom, not against us. Even if they beat us (thank God that didn't happen) Leiceister would've easily clinch the title against Everton next week.

And the pressure is on us? Why? Because these winning streaks are bound to happen and they beat Watford and The Saints 4-1? A very bad team and a side which played 3 games in 6 days?

If anything, the pressure is on them and it's all on their stupid manager, according to which everybody's wanting Spuds to win this game. Good luck with that, Poch. You and your team full of chokers.

Not the way I saw it. Eriksens goal came because Kante was easily turned by Dembele up at the halfway line and left acres of space between midfield and our defence.
Problem in the first half against them was incredibly sloppy passing and very sloppy in possession from our midfield two who were being toyed with by Dembele.

Tomorrow I do think we should go for staying compact and mostly counter though. Change it up a littlebit obviously but I can see us winning it that way. Spurs get leggy in the second half sometimes and they had a tougher schedule with less rest then us coming up to this so I have we can take advantage of it again. I think if we keep it level until half time we should have every chance of winning if we play like wec can.

That was the only time it happened, and he never got behind our defence as such, he just hit a beaut shot. I'm not saying they never dominated midfield, they did in the first half, but only because our tactics involved staying compressed and allowing them to come into our half and down the wings, and then we attempt to win the ball off them when they have pushed up into our half, our best offensive weapon is the blistering counter attack, and it all starts with us winning the ball deep in our own half, usually from Matic or Kante.

It's not pretty and it looks like were getting hammered, just look at the heat maps for that game, were on the left, see how we sat back, and they had plenty of possession in our half and down the wings.

Ehhh, matic played in the first game at SB?

Spot on mate - he did!  I hope he has a better game than that first half!

The Spuds are really obsessed with us, they have been talking about this game even before the last round. After 13 wins, I suppose it's too greedy to expect us keep winning, but I would take a lose at Burnley just to beat the Spuds. It's a perfect setup for us, we pretty much have a full team, had the most of the rest, really look forward to tomorrow. Usually I'd say Matic over Cesc, but the form we are in, I think Conte will risk it with Cesc. If we lose, it's not the end of the world, a draw doesn't change much, a win would be huge considering both Liverpool/Arsenal dropped 2 points.

Very confident about this. Specially with the pool result, the pressure is off. Hope we get the win and set the record.

Pedro for Willian; I think he offers more pace and is more direct going forward and is good at getting back to defend, Willian on the other hand is not as good defending and tends to jog back and we can't afford that in this game.  The first half will be manic and I think the game will pass Willian by.  Still not confident about Alonso and Cahill defensively, our left side is the weakest so we have to defend as a unit or we may come unstuck.

This Tottenham perspective surprised me a bit. Twelve of them predicted the outcome. Four said it will be a draw and five said Chelsea would win, with one predicting a 4-0 for us. The article also says that we are "without question, the best side in the Premier League" and it looks like we "have the league in the bag". I didn't expect to read stuff like this, and certainly not the down-to-earth attitude.

And I'll take that 4-0, by the way :)

Tough, tough match against very good opponent. But we beat them last time, and we improve a lot since then. We all hope for a win and to stretch our lead and of course for the record, but a draw will be good result too and i won`t complain if its happen.

In the first match i do not think we was so bad, as some people try to say that. No we was smart, we was waiting for our chance, when he came we strike and beat them badly. They throw everything in the first half and that was dumb. Conte knows that and even they score a crazy s**** goal from a distance shot, that will not happen anythime soon, we still come back and beat them.

I do think its time for Hazard to step up his game and have a big big match against big team.

0-2 or 1-3 with Hazard/Costa goals.

And between Pedro and Willy i want Willian to start.

Good luck and lets hope we win this one !!!

It's an American Spurs website mate. They're not as far up their asses as the w**ks from glory-glory for example.
