Wouldn't you say big clubs have larger fan bases tho? Bayern Munich will always be a big club as long as they have the fans etc..

But the question was whether Arsenal and Spurs both had more fans than us.  I don't think the number of followers on twitter really shows that.  That's all.

Also, a lot of Twitter followers aren't just fans of the club. I bet a lot of Arsenal's Twitter followers just follow them so they can take the piss out of them.

Take the piss out of Arsenal?  Surely not!

Twitter Followers:

  • Arsenal = 9,440,000
  • Chelsea = 8,170,000
  • Tottenham = 1,880,000

Facebook Likes:

  • Chelsea = 47,720,252

  • Tottenham = 8,308,791

anyone see that football podcast floating about on twitter? Some bloke claiming Lukaku should stay at Everton because football didn't begin in 1992 and Everton are a bigger team than Chelsea that has won more league titles.

Couple of things wrong with this of course.

1) Chelsea have won more major trophies than Everton.

2) I thought football began in 2003?

it doesn't matter to me if we`re the bigger club or not...we`re doing it on the pitch at the moment...winning trophies...constantly.

clubs like everton and spurs can bang on about being bigger than us but their success was decades ago and they've done bugger all since.

This is why I still don't get it why some people say we're a small club. London is Blue!

Goes without saying Liverpool, probably the most unbearable fans/teams/culture in England.

Celtic are a disgrace and should just be shipped back over to Ireland now the famines over.

Y*ds are getting too noisy for a club that's famous for winning sweet Fxck all.

Arsenal are harmless.

Can't stand MKDons either.

I enjoyed football and following Chelsea a lot more when we 'were small'.

I still enjoy supporting the club no matter how "big" they are so to speak.

Commercialisation of the sport can make the experience dull, but I don't truly think the passion of the club ever disappears.

"In the run up to our game at White Hart Lane, I felt a weird confidence that we'd be able to beat Chelsea. And that was after they'd won 13 games in a row and were flying.

Now we're the team in form, so I can only assume we're going to beat them 5-0.
:allitongue:"

"I watched the tackle highlights earlier and focused on Clattenburg, I think he basically decided not to send anyone off because he respected why it was happening. He knew we deserved it. I do love this tackle. It's my second favorite though because Kane's tackle, on Willian? is the best in my view. Kane is not that kind of player but this situation was special circumstances and he 100% had no intention of getting the ball and is actually smiling in the clip while he is taking him out. I just f**king love that."

From the fighting cock forum. Tottenham fans are a boring bunch of c**ts. hope we smash them.

Not sure who's more bitter between Liverpool fans and sp*ds fans. So much bitterness pouring out if their forums and on the streets, it's amazing. I'll enjoy their tears on Saturday.

It's Liverpool, not close either.

They still haven't come to terms with the fact our rise coincided with their demise.

They hate us - and the feeling is mutual.

I'd say these last couple of years the hatred between Chelsea and Spurs is more intense than any other football rivalry in the prem except Utd - Liverpool. A lot of the Spurs fans were saying the same on their forum about how they hate us more than Arsenal. Especially after the 'battle of the bridge' last season. They're certainly the team i can't stand losing to most.

From my point of view, the rivalry between us and Spurs, has been fierce as long as I can remember, maybe not so much on the pitch, but certainly off the pitch, especially during the 70's, 80's
