He's just scratching the surface of his potential as a top striker... Yea he is great in teh air Costa never gave much aerial threat, welcome btw, where in Canada ?

Alonso - 7/10 - A few good runs and crosses, not massively involved Rudiger - 6/10 - Did okay Luiz - 6/10 - Don't remember him having much to do Azpilicueta - 5/10 - Good cross for Morata, but otherwise looked sloppy Moses - 5/10 - Not much to do going back, going forward made some poor choices Kante - 8.5/10 - Standard performance Fabregas - 8/10 - Took his goal well and generally good performance Pedro - 6.5/10 - Typical Pedro performance - some moments of pace and quality, let down by poor decision making and final passes Morata - 7/10 - Took his goal well, and good knock on for the first, struggled I thought in the first half with his hold up play, improved a bit in the 2nd Willian - 7.5/10 - First half was very good, bit quieter in the 2nd Didn't think any of the subs did enough to warrant a rating. Thought Rudiker was more than Okay - looked very assured throughout. Kante MOTM for me but also very impressed with Alonso. Still have reservations about Morata. Very early days and Happy he got a goal and assist but thought he looked a bit off the pace and clumsy with ball at his feet. 5 hours ago, bluescouser said: Absolutely awful. We need a striker. Back 3 or 5 doeant work for everton. Fabregas controlled the midfield. Sandro clearly wasnt fit and the game passed rooney by. We only attacked once DCL and lennon came on. Yet no one was in the box when we managed to put the ball in. Really surprised how easy it was for us today and was glad Calvert-Lewin didn't start. Have been very impressed with him and he had an impact as soon as he came on. He's fast, big, strong - looks like he has it all - could turn out to be some player. Edited August 27, 20178 yr by Nibs
August 27, 20178 yr It was a very good win, I did feel we should have scored more, but it was obvious that we were vastly superior throughout the game, well happy
August 27, 20178 yr There's been a lot of talk about how we are weak (in depth) in some position's but one position we are infinity times stronger in is CB. I love Terry and Zouma but one is past his best and the other doesn't fit Antonio's system and they have been replaced with two player's tailor made for 3 at the back. Very happy with Rudiger and Christensen, the latter has a big future but will probably be eased in for a year or two, i just hope to god he sees the bigger picture and doesn't pull a Lukaku.
August 27, 20178 yr I'm sure MOTD will be scathing of Arsenal and fauning over Liverpool while our completely professional, controlled and well executed performance against the supposedly up and coming Everton will barely get a mention.
August 27, 20178 yr Woke up at 5:30 am to watch the game... no regrets and worth it! +3 . Hope Hazard stays in London for the national break.
August 27, 20178 yr Rudigier showed good pace and prepared to use it going forward. Moses had a tough opponent today in Baines but was still able to get forward regularly and have an impact. Overall a much easier than expected game. Everton showed nothing although fairly well organized at the back.

Got to see The Mighty CFC have a comfortable stroll at The Bridge, then watched Arsenal Fan TV later on for laughs
August 28, 20178 yr I was surprised by Conte's selection, against the Spuds - 3 defensive in central midfield yet against Everton just Fabregas and Kante. I'm thinking he took into account their midweek trip and also thought their midfield was weaker. If so good move. Pedro and Willian looked back on good form and a great cross from Azpi for the goal.
August 28, 20178 yr Loved this performance, reminded me of our 13 win streak last season, Willian & Pedro were having fun, the team was organized. Morata also looks much better on the ball than Costa & his goal record so far has spoke for itself. I'm hopeful but I still think we need some more players in this team which many would agree, rotation, hopefully we can at least get one wide player in before the window shuts.

I still remember that Cup where (I forgot the team's name) scored 5 minutes before the final whistle. That was hilarious... Now, I just feel bad for them
August 28, 20178 yr A good day at the Bridge yesterday. A good solid and comfortable win. Could have scored more but we never looked like losing. We made Everton look poor. Was impressed with Rudiger. As usual Dave had a good game. Willian played well also. Spoke to a few people during and after the game about Oxlade-Chamberlain. Mixed opinions about whether or not we should sign him. I don't think we should sign as am not sure what he would happen to the team. After the game we ended up in the Atlas pub. A great little pub and serves Timothy Taylor's Landlord, one of my favourite beers.
