Very good game. Not so worried about the quality of the squad, depth however is needed. A decent striker to cover Morata. (Bats unfortunately can't do the job.)

Fabregas and morata seemed to be on the same wavelength already

Isn't Fabregas on everyone's wave length.  When given the time he was today he is the best footballer on this team

You can tell that we're still missing Hazard's goals though.

Think its fair to say we are missing Hazards directness too.  Pedro likes running onto the ball and Willian hasnt got the same cutting edge as Hazard.

Courtois - 6/10 - One save to make all game.

Alonso - 7/10 - A few good runs and crosses, not massively involved
Rudiger - 6/10 - Did okay
Luiz - 6/10 - Don't remember him having much to do
Azpilicueta - 5/10 - Good cross for Morata, but otherwise looked sloppy
Moses - 5/10 - Not much to do going back, going forward made some poor choices

Kante - 8.5/10 - Standard performance
Fabregas - 8/10 - Took his goal well and generally good performance

Pedro - 6.5/10 - Typical Pedro performance - some moments of pace and quality, let down by poor decision making and final passes
Morata - 7/10 - Took his goal well, and good knock on for the first, struggled I thought in the first half with his hold up play, improved a bit in the 2nd
Willian - 7.5/10 - First half was very good, bit quieter in the 2nd

Didn't think any of the subs did enough to warrant a rating.

Better than ok for me, calm, assured, good in the air, good decision making, what more did you wan't him to do?

See previous response.

Absolutely awful. We need a striker. Back 3 or 5 doeant work for everton. Fabregas controlled the midfield.

Sandro clearly wasnt fit and the game passed rooney by.

We only attacked once DCL and lennon came on. Yet no one was in the box when we managed to put the ball in.

Willian is such a frustrating player. I didn't see the first half but all I saw in the second was him slow it down, take someone on then loose possession. To me, he's more frustrating than Bats who you expect to do nothing on the ball.

Overall it was a very dominant performance, a night and day contrast to the Burnley debacle. Everton were awful though and offered nothing all game.

Willian was one of the best players in the game and at 2-0 up is slowing the game down really a bad thing

The 2 goals in the 1st half did them in. They played like this against City as well, poor distribution from GK and defence.

Hazard's the best finisher of the three as well, plus we miss his penalties.

A clean sheet is always welcome. Everton have been a bit hyped I think, although the sheer numbers of new players to integrate will take time. Maybe that Burnley defeat was what we needed as a reality check.

Solid three points. Thought we controlled all but the 10 minutes between 80'-90'. We should have been up 3 or 4 by then. Thought Batshauyi was very selfish at the end.

As for the first 270 minutes of the season, we have played well except the 30 minutes following Cahill's red in the first half vs Burnley. We dominated Burnley in the second half down one and two men, especially when Morata came on and nearly got the draw.

Very pleased with Rudiger and Bakayoko and Morata obviously. Morata very good with his head unlike Costa. Costa was better, so far, in fhe box pounding in goals when a ball dropped at his feet. Morata showed better hold up play and better with his feet at Real than he has shown so far. I think he will settle in and really like his header ability in the box, especially when Hazard returns. Also why Cesc is a good choice in most games.

Morata's aerial threat in the box is another reason why I would take Llorente from Swansea in the transfer market. Same style player and could be a good choice through all of the different competitions. Have to say that I would take Llorente over Batshauyi at the moment.

Back to the Everton match. Thought we were on the front foot from the beginning. Very aggressive press in Everton half. Loved it and the pace.

Excited about who we can add and where we can go from here. Three solid players would be nice, CB, MID and Striker.

Come on you Chelsea!! :bluescalf::bluescalf:

I think Oxlaide Chamberlain or Mahrez would offer a better attacking option than Moses but Moses does a fair old shift defensively...see both Oxlaide Chamberlain and Sanchez are in the starting line up for Arsenal...

He would probably be our MOTM.
