Ooh careful!!

CPFC always raise their game against us and their fans (who are some of the nosiest) will be well up for it.

MUST win and I will be gutted if we concede a goal to them. I know Benteke is out - anyone know if Zaha is back for them? He's been out bit he looked okay when I saw him driving his Lamborghini through Croydon last week!!

I'm not sure how reliable or if that will change but looks like he's out against us

On a slightly accurate page it says he is back 14th November for our game (think they don't include time to recover fitness etc). Benteke definitely out until mid November

When we get back to real football. In my humble opinion.

Have no interest in the internationals.

Just hope all our players get back fit.

Do Crystal Palace still qualify as a real football team?

We are going to concede a goal, Benteke, Townsend, Puncheon etc... love playing us. So not very optimistic about potencial clean sheet. But I trully believe we outscore them, so 1-3.

Benteke is out.

The climax after atletico to the dejection after city left me needing a week off from even thinking about Chelsea, being half Scottish it was nice and rare to see Scotland do something meaningful in the WC qualifiers, but to achieve maximum disappoint in Scottish fashion they first have to build up your hopes so this could be part of that cycle

We need to be back to business as usual next week and even if morata is fit I wouldn't risk him with hazard back send cut backs to Michi all day we know he can score those with efficiency.

Moving forward I'm a bit worried I know athletico was a very intense game and city are very good at the moment but we were too fatigued  thisbis especiallly relivantvyo Wingbacks, we need to rotate all 3 and use Dave on both sides if we have 2 big games close together, I wouldn't even mind seeing kenedy in I think he could be of use.

Ultimately I think we went for a draw against city and I think we set up wrong for that, the way we set up needed energy like against atletico at which rate it's very hard for opponents, take away the press and energy it said useless.

In hindsight we should have set up like against Tottenham and played them properly on the counter, made it impossible to break us down, but I still think there is a missing link between midfield and our attackers, cesc isn't linking them, I thought a Willian high energy performance would make the transitions work well but he  as useless.

I think we have a few problems to sort and we have to get our tactics down better from game to game, I'm not confident we will retain our title but we will deffinatky we up there, and I think a top 4 and a good CL run would do us, in the end we needed another wingback and an attacking player and I think glimpses of why may be showing already, certainly no cause for panic but for all the potential we have I think we are just missing a couple of players and we would be formidable.

Not sure, but Chelsea do!

Palace have always been a funny club fanbase wise, situated in the ghetos of Croydon which is never a pleasant place to visit if you have the misfortune of having to go there, but palace fans are a real soppy lot, even Brighton use to get one over them!

Remember way back in 1979 Palace being tipped in the media as going to be 'The team of the 1980s!'...

El Tel, with Vince hilaire,  Dave swindlehurst, Kenny Samson etc, I seem to remember Clive Allen left palace and joined Arsenal during one summer and within a few days he then signed for QPR, didn't play a competitive game for Arsenal and this all took place before the season started. 83/84 we took 15k to palace, crowd was only 20k. "Where were we when we were sh*t".......taking over your ground!!!

International football is dead in my opinion, hence why FIFA and uefa have prolonged the international fixtures over a whole bloody week, what ever happened to just playing them all on a Wednesday, I forgot England were even playing the other night only remembered in morning when they said on radio the score, so funny when England lose and media go into meltdown. Will always remember Italia 90 though!!

European qualifiers are dogsh*t that's why, you'll always have one team that will for sure go through no matter how bad they play (example England). South American qualifiers are alright, most teams are on par with eachother but even then Brazil can't be caught up with at the top.

Not sure I agree, sure England are going through a poor patch yet let's recall Wales at the Euros and heard Mark Hughes saying today it would be great if they could qualify for the WC. Think it just depends on your perspective.

Northern Ireland fans love it too!

Allen went to Palace as part of the Kenny Sansom deal. Looking back that certainly was a weird transfer. Clive Allen at Arsenal in basically the summer of 1980. Think he had a perfectly good goal disallowed at perhaps Coventry. It was on tv and he hit a great free kick that came back from the station at the back of the goal and the ref disallowed it. Ref thought it had hit the post !

Kante just got subbed off for france with a hamstring injury. Conte has to learn to give his players a rest or we wont have a team come the crucial stage of the season

When exactly has Conte had a chance to give Kante a rest ? With the tough early fixtures and lack of midfield options, he has had no choice but to play Kante.

we could easily have played a midfield duo of baka and cesc since they both dont play internationals but hey we have no choice but to play them both now

Kante injured ffs we should refuse to send our top players for national duty without sending one of our coaching staff to supervise, people saying he needed a rest, we are two months into the f**king season, a player his age doesn't need rest at this point.

I beg to differ. Kante plays a high energy game and covers a lot of distance during games . It is an accumulation of fatigue in his hamstrings. It was easy for him to play that way with leicester because they had no european games and wasnt really a starter for france. In his first season for chelsea he didnt have europEAN  games and started playing more for France. NOW this season he plays every freaking 3 days plus internationals. Trust me the miles add up

Yes, remember seeing the picture in the Sunday paper of it over the line and bouncing back out.
