April 2, 20188 yr And why exactly will you expect any player to do such a thing in a 11 vs 11 sport like football. This isn't basketball. Even in basketball which is a 5 v 5 sport that's impossible to do. 2 of the best players ever Lebron James and Michael Jordan needed help from their teammates to get over the hump. This is the absolutely outrageous standard that Hazard critics hold him to that contribute to the poor opinions you've made in this thread. Well take salah out of liverpool and what position do you think they would be in?? You are taking this wayy to in depth, hazard doesnt wanna be here, i dont blame him, and his performances show it
April 2, 20188 yr And why would you think he could be the only player when he clearly doesn't have the supporting cast and has been coached by defensive minded managers for virtually all his Chelsea career? Not trying to be funny or anything but there's nothing realistic or sensible about that.So before you were listing players hazard was more consistent than but now you are saying these players arent good enough for a supporting cast,

They finished 4th last seaosn and will prob finish 3rd this season. You're chatting a bunch of bolloxs mate. You're all over the place. Klopp coaching a very comprehensive playing philosophy that is not dependent on any one player. Not Coutinho, Salah, Mane or anyone. What is ironic is your trope about "where will they be without Salah" can be applied far more strongly to Hazard than it can be to Salah. I think your problem is that you know quite little about the sport in general, hence the awful takes.
April 2, 20188 yr Hazard's harshest critics in general tend to know very little about football. Not surprising and from experience always struggle to back up their criticisms in light of inspection. Again not surprising. I'll let you have the last word.

April 2, 20188 yr Truth is we know that we need to recruit better quality players but we dont even have a sporting director yet which I think will be crucial. Than we need to sort out the manager situation as I think our team is not that bad. We are suffering from the second season syndrome that's all. Fabregas, Cahill and Moses need to go, possibly Pedro too. There are some amazing young players in Europe that will make a huge difference in our team if we recruit them such as Milinkovic Savic. Hysaj. Icardi. Felipe Anderson etc. Play Sinclair and Odoi as much as possible and we good to go. 4-3-3 Courtis Azpilicueta - christiansen - Rudiger - Palmieri Kante - D Drinkwater - Milinkovic Savic William - Icardi - Hazard Second team Caballero Sterling - zouma - Luiz - Zappacosta Barkley - Bakayoko - Alonso Morata - Giroud - Odoi Perfect! Tbf we probably wouldnt have got anything out of the city game anyway, but two goals against utd were his fault and two goals against spurs his fault, it is was david luiz he would be slaughtered for it Was it his fault that we lost 3-0 at home to Bournemouth, 4-1 away to Watford and failed to beat a 10 man Leicester team at home? Or how about losing to Burnley 3-2 at home on the first day of the season? In those 3 games against Utd, City and Spurs we scored a total of 2 goals, you need goals to win games and you can't put that blame all on Christensen He's made mistakes but it's absolutely ridiculous to suggest he's the reason we will miss out on top 4

Couple that with Hudson-odoi, Ruben and maybe Abraham in the squad, it'd be an interesting season, that's for sure.

No one said he can't be criticised but to say we should be looking to sell him is plain stupid.

Its not though, he wants out, he is 27 so his value from now on will only go down plus the fact his contract is running down

It's about whether he has the talent to compete for a place in our squad. And for that to happen he needs to be in the squad. I could sit here and write paragraph upon paragraph about why we have failed our youth players over the past decade or so, but I really haven't got the time (nor patients) to do so. But we will never know if any of our youth players (who have won sh*t loads of competitions over the past few years) are ready unless we give them the opportunity to prove so.

April 2, 20188 yr Whatever we choose to do with recruitment, realistically it has to be over several windows. This year we have brought in 10 players including Christensen, thats a monumental task to integrate them successfully into a cohesive squad, especially when none really were good enough to challenge existing first eleven members for their place. Four out four in maximum and hope none of the leavers are the few remaining quality players that we have or we're in deep sh*t. Edited April 2, 20188 yr by charierre
April 2, 20188 yr Following on from my post.. In regards to Summer It's massive that we keep hold of Hazard. He's our best player and has been majorly important in us winning our last two League titles. Even if we sold him for huge money we wouldn't be able to replace him with a player on his level In regards to Courtois while I'd like to keep him as he's a top class GK if we did receive a crazy offer for him then I feel we'd have to consider it I don't feel our squad needs a massive overhaul a couple in and a couple out. The main thing we should be focusing on is bringing in actual quality to improve our team If we did sell Courtois for crazy money then I'd like us to look at Jack Butland, very good GK, English and only 25. With Stoke likely to be relegated he wouldn't cost massive amounts and would also allow us to reinvest some of the Courtois money on other parts of the squad I'd also like us to go for Toby Alderweirled. While it's unlikely Spurs will sell to us Toby he has only 1 year left on his contract and is unhappy and will likely be sold in the Summer. I'd make both Spurs and Toby an offer they'd find hard to turn down. Plus if Toby wants to stay in London that gives us an advantage Julian Weigl would be amazing next to Kante, he's very good defensively but is also a very good passer and is great at dictating play from deep. With Dortmund likely to want to keep Bats after his loan I'd look to trying to come to some sort of deal that means we sign Weigl. At 22 he will only get better Lastly I'd get Leon Bailey. This guy reminds me Robben and would be a great acquisition for our attack and would compliment both Willian and Hazard. At 20 years old he will only get better I'd also like to see the likes of Ampadu, Ola Aina, Hudson-Odoi and RLC be part of our squad. While we look to sell Pedro, Moses, Luiz/Cahill, Bakayoko, Zappacosta ................................Courtois/Butland............................... Azpi..............Christensen......Alderweirled...............Emerson ............................Kante.............Weigl............................... .......................................Barkley....................................... Bailey/Willian.....................Morata...........................Hazard Subs Willy, Rudiger, Ola Aina, Cahill/Luiz, Rudiger, Alonso, RLC, Ampadu, Fabregas, Drinkwater, Hudson-Odoi, Giroud Under a manager like Tuchel that squad could be a very exciting, attacking team that is strong in all positions. It would be more than good enough to finish in the top 4. It also has a good mix of youth and experience

April 2, 20188 yr Before we start loaning out players we’ve signed. We need to start making decisions on 30 odd players out on loan! We’ve got a goalkeeper who’s been on loan since 2010! Make a decision!!!
April 3, 20188 yr A switch to a back four and a list to keep rather than sell: Goalkeepers: Blackman as number 3, sign new number 1 and 2. Full backs: rudiger, azpi and Emerson. Sign one more. Centerbacks: Christensen and zouma. Sign 2 new ones possibly both as starters. Wide midfield: Alonso, kenedy and willian. Sign at least one more. Center midfield: Kante, loftus-cheek and drinkwater. Sign 2 more, one a perfect partner to Kante. Forwards: hudson-odoi, sign two or three more depending on if we play two forwards or one with wide players. Yes I am assuming hazard and tibo want to leave.
April 3, 20188 yr Hmmm - sign 11 top players. Yep, that'll work and it'll be really easy. This football manager lark is a piece of piss, ain't it? Quadruple on for next season, then.
