Of course none of us know as to whether or not Ratcliffe did indeed make an offer to buy the club in June. However, it seems to me that if he did indeed make an initial offer of some sort at that time & same was rejected at that time, then it is at least feasible that he might come back with a higher offer at some stage. Interesting times....

So Roman lost £500m in 24 hours when the US sanctions kicked in earlier this month. Along with his Visa issues and lack of major transfer activity, i think this story has some legs.

Like youlots says, if it was true about the first offer, then you can imagine that was the opening bid and other bids will follow.

I still can't believe that guy is worth so much and I had not heard of him. I didn't know there was a British billionaire worth 20 billion.

The Ratcliffe angle is interesting, we have a billionaire none of us had even heard of yet if he did take over Chelsea then he would be of media interest straight away and on an ongoing basis. He might want this yet does his family?

I'm not actually sure what rules are even broken here. 

Could of sworn I read something where there was an actual investigation and nothing was found or proved?
