The Telegraph said that for pre-season Chelsea will not be planning any overseas trip in preparation for the 2020/21 season, and would likely use the improvised pre-season they had before the season was resumed in June, when Chelsea played an intra-squad friendly, and also played friendlies against Reading at their Cobham training base and QPR at Stamford Bridge. Before the pandemic Chelsea had initially scheduled a pre-season tour in the United States.
