Hi, I'm new to this forum, been supporting Chelsea since the mid 90s. I'm 31 and just discovering this, I have been on Facebook for a couple of years and I'm sick to death on all the negative comments on the Chelsea page(mainly African people accusing Lamps of being racist because "he only plays young English people"...the Africa comment isn't me being racist it's a fact) anyway I'm hoping this forum is going to be for actual Chelsea fans and not plastic ones

Agree with munky. There was a time, the press used to come and take quotes from fans here which were genuine level-headed topics.

Now, it’s all taken from Twitter which makes our fans looks embarrassing as they take the most cringe-worthy tweets and put them out there.

This place has been here before all that started and while there might sometimes be some face-palm replies, it’s far better than the sh*t you’ll read on social media by people.

You’ll find more proper fans round here as @yorkleyblue has sent most of the others back to Twitter.

A lot of the old skool Chelsea fellas are here too, ain’t that right @coco ?

Welcome on.

Twitter and Facebook are bloody awful when it comes to talking about football. Honestly this is the best place to discuss Chelsea in my experience. people knock it and say it's negative but they've never been outside of this forum or had a discussion on Twitter.

There has never been a single discussion on twitter. I’d liken it more to monkeys throwing faeces.

I dont get how Africans can say lampard is racist for playing " Young  English people". The right term for me would be Nationalist because the last time i checked he has played Abraham, Hudson- Odoi, Tomori, Guehi, Reece James and Loftus Cheek who are all black but English.  To be fair though Lampard does favour the academy boys but i am all for it because they have been ignored ever since Roman took over

Some things which are confusing about this thread. The governing body of football stipulates how many overseas and 'home grown' players a club can have. The Chelsea team is a good advert for multi-culturalism and rightly so. Twitter is full of extreme viewpoints. One final thought, is this thread a wind up to start with? (No offence intended if original post is genuine).

Twitter is a cesspit as well as being a global collective of morons.

That’s why I fit in so well!

They just mean Mason Mount because he’d get picked ahead of injured/unfit players. There generally seems to be a complete lack of intelligence (footballing or otherwise) to be found.

Probably not, I normally feel like venting about the ridiculous comments I see but I leave it because none of you give a monkeys about my constant moaning :laugh2:

Welcome @Malta Blue Our social media fans are indeed a complete embarrassment to the club and possibly the human race. It’s much nicer here.

Good to know, I have came to the right place. Every post on FB made by Chelsea's social media team it's heavily criticised. Even after we done over the two Scouse teams just before covid destroyed the season people were still having a go, "oh look another young English boy Lampard is going to favour" comments like this after young Billy introduced himself to the world in spectacular fashion. I replied to one particular comment letting the idiot know that Gilmour is not English and if he plays well then he deserves his place. I had over 150 replies with people calling me racist just like Lampard id I think he should be playing. So I'm done with Facebook now.

Not a wind up, my comment was to explain that I'm new here, having found this site after giving up with the idiots on FB...it's important to emphasise that I'm not having a go at team selections I was only stating that there is too many people on FB moaning about it. So basically I'm just moaning about people moaning on FB, the difference being that they moan about Chelsea and Lampard's team selection and I'm moaning about all the negativity and the ignorance of these nieve plastic fans on FB. Hope this makes sense.
