The ball broke to a deep midfielder then as soon as the ball came down to his feet he had a defender on each shoulder and was being closed down by the keeper. When it comes back up on a replay or on motd have a look and really say what else he could of done with it.

How and where? He never had the shot on. Don't forget he is not a striker he found himself through on goal but the ball didn't settle until he was closed down. Maybe if he was a prolific goal scorer he could of pulled something spectacular off but by the time he had a shooting opportunity he was sandwich in between 2 defenders the one goal side was sliding in and closed off all angles for him to do anything and a goalkeeper right Infront of him. When it's happening in real time there is very few people  in the world would of been able to do anything with that. Watch it back, he never had a shooting angle after the ball came down
