April 11, 20215 yr With our track record I would be very hesitant. With that said even if he could help give the fwds tips on how to finish in this specific league, the movement needed to exploit space etc. Maybe he could be invaluable in that sense. If he's a back up/back up back up then perhaps but I'm just not certain this would be a good move.
April 11, 20215 yr If Kai at false 9 is the way Tuchel plans to go forward then Aguero is worth a punt as an additional option. Would he far too risky if we're making him main striker even for a season. Edited April 11, 20215 yr by Argo
April 12, 20215 yr Aguero for Giroud doesn't sound too bad As @Argo stated if he is to be a squad player with limited game time it wouldn't be the worse option, in my opinion he would be an upgrade on Giroud plus I think Werner could really benefit from training and playing with someone like Aguero.
April 12, 20215 yr If he isn't good enough for Man City for another year than he shouldn't be good enough for us either if we plan to catch up with them. When Giroud leaves we should consider giving Tammy more game time or simply buy a new striker, specially if Werner doesn't get better. To have another player like Aguero that is injury prone by now and that will only make the wage budget more heavy is nothing but a step backwards.
