Beating Milans first team with their reserves and apparently we are the ones with better squad depth lol

Milan played like sh*t, Watford is more impressive

If only we had a first choice striker that could score like that, never mind a fourth choice.

We were very very lucky to beat Watford and they ran us ragged for much of the match.

Sadly the truth is that Liverpool are streets ahead of us. They really shouldn’t be, but they are.

Agreed on both points. They are ahead of us in basically every position and backups. So are City.

Much as we don't like them have to give it to Liverpool.  First English side to win all 6 CL group matches, in that group too which was supposed to be the group of death. Very impressive.

Clearly gunning for our crown.

Really good ratio. Where is he for Liverpool on the pecking order? Firmino,  Jota, Origi?

All 3 better goal scorers than any of our forwards lol..

Firmino, Jota and Origi are better goalscorers than Lukaku.

Makes sense.

only took him 6 years, tried Benteke & Ings, discarded them and got Mané and Salah, spend 80+ million on Van Dijk + 60 Million on Allison.

Lol he did have a Southampton theme going on and did manage to pick up a couple of stars for them.

There is something about the way Liverpool play that makes them deadly. Makes you wonder how Lukaku and Werner would do for them.

They've been playing together and under Klopp and the same system for longer than us. Give us the same time and money and we'll be playing in three years' time like today the scum or Citeh. That's the difference, they are a more mature team that can play passes blindfolded.

I would be confident in our second string beating AC Milan. Serie A is garbage compared to how it used to be.

It is, though we still lost at a poor Juve.

Indeed I believe if TT is given that time and the right players we can be as well. Needs a lot more investment though imo.

I don't think that we need a lot more investment, we just need to tie down our defenders, get the midfield to not be injured every other week, and get the front players to start scoring. The first bit is proving difficult at the moment, and it looks like we may need to go into the market for CBs, a LWB and a LRB to cover any issue with James if Azpi leaves (but both City and Liverscum had to go to the market several years on the row to get their defence sorted too). The second may be difficult but hopefully with a bit of rest at the end of the summer, and with the return of the loanees (Gilmour and Gallagher are showing quality), we could be well covered. The front line is still quite youngish, hopefully Mason and Havertz will mature and get to good goal numbers. Lukaku may need to be played differently, and if next season we get back Broja, he is scoring for Southampton. I am confident that we have a good future, we just need to tweak here and there but have a good scaffold to work with.

Rangnick substituting Henderson for Heaton to mask the fact that he can't beat Young Boys

funny dat Savage's son is making his debut while he is co-commenting

Kovacic, Jorginho & Kante are crucial. We need Tchouaméni as a backup/rotation player.  And if we would go in for any attacking player i would take a look at Raphina from Leeds, i would like to see premier league proven players. other players i would take a look at for us is Traore & Rayan Aït-Nouri from Wolves

See who the next manager wants, assuming they get a say.

we're through to the last 16, we're 2 points behind first, no reason to get another manager
