we're through to the last 16, we're 2 points behind first, no reason to get another manager

I agree, I don't want us to change manager. Frank topped a harder group last year and still got sacked.

By the middle to end of January I expect us to be a lot of points off top. Maybe 10 to 16, and that is when I think Roman acts.

i hope that when Kovacic comes back (which seems to be the player who might recover the soonest) and we play the trusty Jorginho-Kovacic pivot we can find our way again. The positives of todays game are that

1. I'm less worried about Mendy going to AFCON based on Kepa's great performance

2. Werner scored 1 great goal and 1 tap in and assisted Lukaku for a goal, which might give our strikers a bit of confidence

First time for our strikers. Hopefully a good sign.

I'm not, if anything I'm more worried. Having a great game then at the end handing us (no pun intended) a reminder of why he was replaced in the first place isn't a good sign.

I agree, he’d been my man of the match up until their third goal. He got to it, but his weak wrists showed again why he lets in a large percentage of long shots.

Chances of Gerrard diving in to the kop when Liverpool score tomorrow? Not many.

Chance of him smiling in his post match interview after Liverpool have won? Pretty high I would say.

Wolves won't let City run Riott but I think they get a 2 or 3 goal win

Liverpool will breeze past Villa and then declare at 3 for Gerrards sake.

Tottenham doing everyone a favour by refusing to play football: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59620193

If only they had had this idea 139 years earlier.

Standard 3-0 loss to Tottenham if they forfeit the match isn’t it? Tottenham could have put a team out for this fixture, it might not be their first team but they still could have done it. Not fair on Vitesse to be put out when they played all their fixtures so hopefully Rennes refuse to forfeit it as well.

For f**ks sake.

Harsh yellow and a braindead move.

Under 12s know not to do sh*t like that.

might still be a bit of an after effect from his head injury, lack of impulse control

Is this what watching the Portuguese league is like? The levels of simulation, dissent and general cheating are incredible.

A proper putoff to be honest, not enjoyable at all.

Yes. Portugese players are easily the worst in europe for cheating.

if it could keep city at 0-0 i wouldn't care less, you cannot outplay Man City so you have to do it that way

i like the dirty play, similar to Simeone's Atletico, wolves also defend really well today

It's proper revolting.

Ref had zero bollocks in that first half, where is Nigel Owens when you need him?

Sterling with another dive. Appealed too - should have been booked.
