Trev. Another start, another clean sheet. (Only 3 recently we got he started them all) and remains part of an undefeated run, bar unfortunately the lens today.

Looking at it unfortunately the one subs that cost us the most was Dave coming on.

Trev stays on no way he gets a early pen, ziyech gets number 2 instead and hey ho, maybe a different story.

Torn between Alonso, Jorgi and Reece. They all did their jobs on an excellent level against a difficult opponent. On another day Alonso would have at least hit the target with his attempts. Reece had to settle for a more defensive role since Trev was getting murdered by Diaz and Jorgi kept us ticking in the game with good turns and mostly stopping Thiago from taking free reign over the midfield.

Chalobah was awful, especially in the first 30 minutes. He was beaten by every single ball in behind him and Diaz destroyed him throughout the match. If it wasn't for James dropping off a bit to protect him, Liverpool would likely have scored a few goals down that side.

Diaz is a cracking player. Was a good learning experience for Trev and he held his own. Impressive due to his lack of matches.

I went for James, was not a perfect performance yet threatened to open up Liverpool on is own through breaks down the right and was good defensively.

Our most important outlet as Kovacic was not able to dribble through the Liverpool lines following his injury.
