We complain a lot about VAR, and I think it's highly justified, but today, I think people are being harsh. Brighton's goal that got disallowed was an amazing strike, but it was right to disallow it for offside. If they were to ignore it, and people were okay with it, then it would be massively hypocritical. It would be calling for the same lack of consistency that we are trying to remove from the game.

I thought Arsenal's goal was right to be disallowed too.

I thought it was a foul. Doubt VAR would even tell the onfield ref to look at it if it was us.

In what was I think Lamps' first game in charge at OT in 2019 (we lost 4-0), there was a clear foul on Zouma immediately before they broke upfield and scored.

VAR didn't intervene. I think it's because United were at home.

That was Franks first game and it was the continuation of me never seeing Chelsea win at Old Trafford (I was there for the FA Cup semi victory over Blackburn but I had an eye infection and no contacts/glasses so could actually see much).

I saw us win there once, amazing atmosphere when we sang 10 men went to mow and the whole terrac ein time stood up on the 10th man and chanted Chelsea.

It was loud before 10 men went to mow as they had terraces either side of the away end yet when we stood up for 10 men the whole ground opened up and so was so loud could only hear a loud buzz.

We won 3-2, it was Sunday match and we even had Damien Mathew playing.

Paalister own goal, Townsend and then Wise with the penalty.

Great result considering we had lost to Wimbledon last time out.

He has. You can see the influence of working under Pep. And City play Arsenal next week - should be a good game.

My Bad. Not for the first time I had Sky Sports on with volume down and saw upcoming games on TV. Turns out it was WSL.

Needless to say, I won't be watching that..................!

Why? Better football than our mens team can produce!

Not so much better - just different standard of opposing teams. Think some clubs are clearly taking women's football more seriously than others which helps the ones being backed to dominate as they are.

It’s definitely better. It doesn’t send me to sleep for a start!

They improve when they spend.

We seem to go backwards...

the mentality is so different 3 up away in Seville, they keep hunting a 4th goal right into injury time - they're like professional assassins

There is an identity in how they attack though. They know where to move the ball, where to run off the ball, etc.

exactly - in contrast, Tuchel appears to have no pattern of attacking play and the players can't trust each other to be in the right place or make the right decisions around the box
