If they are stars they get paid a lot of money.

Id they are flops they get paid less.

It's more heavily incentive based than standard contracts.

Or so we are told.

Actually I'd like a situation where flops are paid less, but surely we don't have a " you're a flop" contracts ready for players we sign ?

Is this bloke good ? I know the season before last he was a top scorer but he wasn't last season if I'm reading the stats correctly?

Scored 15 league goals , just 2 more than Lukaku, and 3 of the 15 were penalties..

Should we be worried about that, or are there reasons that means we can overlook his drop in goals ?

I might have misread all the figures, but if we buy him I really hope he's a goal machine.

How much is enough? I feel like if I got paid that much I’d work a couple of years then retire.  I suppose he’s only playing football.

On that money I'd work a month then retire !

Think those 15 goals came in just 25 games due to injury.   Plus to be fair Napoli finished 10th in the biggest collapse by the champions since 15/16 Chelsea.

We are told that but if our wage structure is capped at £200k/week then we'll always lose out to the PSGs or Real Madrids who offer £500k/week, incentives be damned.

We lose out to PL clubs too.

City, United, Liverpool have players on more than £200k a week

Even Arsenal are paying Havertz more than 200k a week.

Unfortunately everything is within reach out there. Everything you want is possible to get on their wages and no taxes. Expats need a couple of years to focus and remember to save up instead of buying cars, boats, high end sh*t they don't need or a TV that won't fit in any room in my place back in London because its too bloody big.  Lol

As long as you do the job and don't get carried away with stupid sh*t it's a good cash ride to get you on your way to early retirement. Especially footballers that have a limited shelf life and want to set their families up for life.

I'd say 2 to 3 years if you've got great self control, closer to 5yrs if you fk about the first 2.

That bloody TV is still in my shed!

Lol

Is it the wife that says it’s too big.  Alway heard it’s quality over size.

…Talking about the tv by the way.

Victor.  Oh Victor.  and Ivan . . .oh Ivan.  We should buy the kid from Aston Villa?  Kellyman going the other way maybe?

We will buy the Duran player. One of them, possibly Nizaar, hinted at it a little while ago with a watch this space.

Oh I don't blame players at all.

Whatever their society is like , UK governments have had no problem taking their money in exchange for weapons etc. for decades , never mind their horrific murder and dismemberment of that guy in their embassy a few years ago, but football players are questioned about moral issues for playing over there.

Saudi have included a release clause in the deal which was the main road block. It’s done imo.

Spent so much time buggering around on this that half the deals they needed to get done are virtually impossible now.

Still to this day feel sorry for Mr Lineker who was forced at gun point to work over in Qatar for a whole winter.  such a nice virtuous man too.  Just horrible.

Exactly.

But tbh it's the same with everything. There's always double standards.

The environment/emissions one always gets on my tits too. Public isn't doing enough, blah blah blah, while most of the crap is actually done by corporations or foreign states/gov themselves and a blind eye.

Have we got a problem scoring goals ?

Don't think we do. We honestly will survive this season without signing a striker but I think signing one who is a better finisher that Jackson will be the difference between us making top 4 or not.

Hope it isnt this guy though

Too big for any of the walls.

Unfortunately it's about 10 yrs old now and outdated, heading for the skip once I finish refurbishment upstairs. It's still in the wooden shipping box because it came via shipping container. Mehhh.

He should go to Saudi. He is not as good as his agent, and the media, hype him to be. Go make yourself rich Victor, is a massive 0ffer.

The lack of PL experience is why I would take toney over him. But I just want our SD's to just put the cheque books away and concentrate on selling not buying.

If we bring no one else in this window but manage to get rid of most of the loan grp then I'm really happy.

There's your environmental pollution problem mate.

We don't make anything over here anymore!
