August 29, 20241 yr We should match the salary - £600k per week. But have it heavily caveated. Something like he has to pay us £300k for every game he played and doesn’t score. Or have a set £Xmillion penalty if he doesnt win the golden boot. Whatever it is, some kind of penalty to protect us if he flops. I have no problems paying top dollar if the player delivers. Just not for chancers like Rom and sterling who deliver f all.
August 29, 20241 yr Really on the fence with Osimhen. On the other hand I'd like to trust Mikel whose podcast is a fresh breath of air. If Mikel trusts Vic I'd feel he'd be good for us. Mikel is not close to the new owners but I feel he should know more than the average fan. Anyway, if we need a prolific striker to compete with Jackson he is someone who is available at a massively reduced cost at this moment. I understand why we would go for him.

August 29, 20241 yr Cmon Saudi, chuck the man another 100K a week and stop any possibility of him ending up at Chelsea. PLEASE

I really wouldn't go by what Mikel says. He's a mate and fellow Nigerian, so of course he will big him up but he hasn't got to deal with the fallout if it all goes pear-shaped!! As others have said, think this would be a Lukaku all over again, so would leave well alone. Edited August 29, 20241 yr by Nibs
August 29, 20241 yr I think we can't judge all our signings to be like a Lukaku and have to take every case individually. You would hope the directors have done their ground work on his personality and to see if he's a fit for our squad. He would give us a different profile and there's plenty of positives about Jackson but he's not a killer and we need a killer in the box. As soon as Haaland scored that first goal against us it just screamed to me that we lack that presence and I know Haaland is a rare breed and if Osimhen is even 50% of that then I am for it.
August 29, 20241 yr For Napoli and his agent Saudi is probably the only choice here. But he already said he wants to stay in Europe and we are basically the only club after him.
August 29, 20241 yr It will nice when this saga ends no matter which way it goes. We need to try somebody else up top and I'll be happy with Toney or Osimhen giving it a go.
August 29, 20241 yr Napoli would have to do what we did with Kepa if the offer is a loan and buy obligation. Cannot say I really want Toney, but I just feel Victor has flop written all over him so would sooner toney than this happen.
August 29, 20241 yr Toney is at least experienced in the PL. That's what makes Toney a much better option than Osimhen for me personally. Even though I don't like him much. But Osimhen has too many red flags for me too.
August 29, 20241 yr BREAKING NEWS brand new information I’m hearing is Chelsea are negotiating the transfer of Osimhen but still discussing the wages. JUST IN A deal will be made with Chelsea or Al Ahli in the next couple of days! Please like and subscribe. Will update in an hour with the same information.

Here is a great breakdown of his game, which is very balanced and fair, including his weaknesses:

Lol Apart from being above osimhen in all those tables upto 5mins ish, (will watch after work) I just see him as an older Jackson and maybe a potentially younger drogba, someone that's developed more due to his age. I actually think Jackson has the potential at 25 (osimhen is 25 right?) to wipe the floor with this guy. His ceiling is potentially way higher. The guy even said osimhen at 25 isn't as refined as Drogba, well jacko is 22, he's not as refined as osimhen yet but definitely has the potential to be even better if he out scores him on those tables he's showing for control and power now, only 2 I could pay attention to because of work calls. But I'll watch it again tonight properly bud. But at this moment, right now, if it was purely upto me...I personally wouldn't waste any excess money, and maybe get toney if he's cheap to help develop jacko and guiu for a season or 2. Edited August 29, 20241 yr by Simplymo
August 29, 20241 yr Sry, it was Jackson higher than him in pressing/defending, creativity and control. Goal threat osimhen was higher. That's less than half the vid...so I'll watch it properly later bud. I can't multitask when it comes to phone calls. Lol But again add all the other stuff which you dismiss about Jackson even though its a massive deal...like first season, new country, new club then yeah, I think Jackson will be way ahead of this guy when he gets to his age. What was osimhens stats when he was 22? Edited August 29, 20241 yr by Simplymo
August 29, 20241 yr Oh and watch "killing eve" on Netflix. Spoiler alert...you're Eve, you're in denial. I want to be there when your eyes are glistening with love for mad jacko after he destroys the spuds as Drogba used to destroy the gooners. 🤣 It'll be a few years though...he's only 22.
