Breaking: Al Ahli have submitted initial bid for Osimhen - in access of €65m. No agreement between player and club so far, Osimhen will consider options. (@FabrizioRomano) #CFC

I think this will be Victor's option. Going to Saudi and earn big money or sit it out at Napoli.

I’d be surprised if he ends up in Saudi at this stage of his career. More likely Napoli are leaking details of an alleged agreement to persuade us or PSG to make a bid for the player.

Oh I bet Napoli are getting very twitchy.

Running out of options isn't he.

- Stay at Napoli unfavored by Conte.

- Go to Saudi and essentially waste your prime years

- Move to Chelsea only on Chelsea's terms.

Wait for PSG to come back in for him? Arsenal may have a late interest in him also?

An another victim of a terrible agent.

If he wasn’t planning on staying he should have never signed the contract renewal last year, gotta play the game sometimes, even if that means earning a low wage for one season before you’re in free agent territory.

Wouldn't he lower his wage demands if he wanted to come here?

250k isnt realistic for his output, more in the region of 180-220k i was ecstatic about the thought of him signing but it seems it wont happen because the greedy fart wont lower his wages.

Hopefully chelsea can give a salary of 200k with the potential to hit 280k if he hits certain targets if he says no to that then move on i guess

Yeah twat is hoping PSG will come in for him. He's in a corner.

With every passing day I hope we stay clear. Is he worth the hassle with this fuss up? We already saw with Felix that if they want to join, they will take a pay cut. Osimhen thinks he's above us and no matter what Mikel likes to f**king say on how "He desperately wants to join Chelsea", he hasn't shown a single indication of doing so.

Osimhen has turned down Al Ahli’s offers, it remains to be seen if they will relaunch another to satisfy his demands. (@DiMarzio) #CFC

I don't want this to happen, we have 4 very good options in Jackson, Felix, Nkunku and Guiu. He is just another Lukaku, move on.

I'm not even sure how good Osimhen even is. He's only ever had that one really good season in his career two seasons ago. He's got a decent amount of goals, but the majority of them last season came against the bottom 5 teams in Serie A.

If we move away from this, and i am leaning towards that as well tbh, won't it collapse the Lukaku deal if he gets stuck there. That €65m offer accepted by ADL will be a game changer though. There will be others coming in i reckon for that money so i can't see him being stuck there.

One thing worth noting is the Saudi transfer deadline is September 2nd, giving Victor a back up. He can afford to wait to see if a PSG or Arsenal make an offer for him and, if they don't, then take the Saudi offer, if he wants.

On days where we aren't as clinical as yesterday, still think we need a centre forward presence to make the difference.

Could be another case of work with what we have and reassess in January. I don't know.

Thats fine for Osimhen, its worse for us regarding Lukaku. Needs to be done by the 31, and if Osimhen is at Napoli when the european transfer window shuts I dont know what Napoli does with Lukaku. Three things I’m absolutely sick and tired of:

- Lukaku

- Osimhen

- Us having to buy players to sell players

Saudi deadline closes 6th of October. If he waits past the 30th of August, Saudi clubs can change the terms and he'll be fkd till January until European teams can register players again. It's a risk...Saudi clubs will hold all the cards, pay him peanuts if they wanted to for example.

I want to see if Maresca can help the ones we have to be more clinical and "accurate". He mentioned accuracy in his post match interviews. I'm hoping once he gets his system across perfectly he can then work on the individuals. Will be a long-ish wait though.

He keeps mentioning he's really happy with the players he has now and the only difference between us and man city/arsenal is the coach has been there long enough to help/guide the squad.

Maybe it's all that rigid stuff we heard before he came to Chelsea and it keeps getting to me because he's anything but rigid so far. So I'll say I also don't think he's the type to shy away from help in rgds to another/different set piece coach or defensive data specialist or whatever specialist nerds are involved in football these days (ppl walking around with laptops) if he thinks he needs one, or a player may benefit from one (especially thinking of mudryk here.)

Osimhen's situation is probably the strangest I have seen.

A great striker entering the peak years of his career that holds out for mammoth wages that top European clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal and PSG refuse to offer him. Clearly everything is over between Napoli and him and now risks of going into the last days of the transfer market with his future up in the air.

Why would a top striker aged 25 would go to Saudi Arabia that young and waste his best years playing amateur football there?

I think Chelsea could offer him a big contract once we get the likes of Sterling and Chilwell off the books, but I feel there is something else happening around Osimhen's situation. He probably has an entire horde of African agents that want to have him play for a Saudi club and collect some absurd agent fees that would send them straight to retirement.

What else is happening? Well, he's not that great a player. He is good, he is even very good. I mean if he were a Haaland or Neymar  or ________ level striker, then sure break the bank for him, but he's not. He is an above average striker and he's simply not worth it. The something else in his situation is the 'hype'.

Every person has a unique situation on that 'why'. Basically you can get security to your family and friends by playing a couple of seasons in the Saudi's.

In Europe we don't have that same idea in our heads as we are mostly safe and secure most of our lives.
