January 30, 20233 yr I can understand why Benfica want to keep their star man in the middle of a title fight but surely they know keeping a player that wants to leave is going to counter productive?
January 30, 20233 yr Seems like Enzo wants to leave and has agreed personal terms with Chelsea. Players do have a right and should have a say in who they want to play for. The World Cup’s best young player award is nothing to scoff at. This lad is good. It is a lot of money, but then once the Trevor Francis - One million pounds for a player, deal happened, well that was the end of reason. So we are going to spend "Lukaku money" on this young star. I think it is only the Chelsea No.9's whom are cursed.
January 30, 20233 yr Author César Luis Merlo is reporting the offer contains one larger payment up front plus five smaller installments for a total of £105M/€120M. Matt Law is also saying there is wiggle room for negotiations so changes are probably still possible but either way, we look determined to get this done and Benfica are open to negotiate other than the release clause.
January 30, 20233 yr Despite the bad season we had, I think a signing like this with lift the spirits of the club, fans and even players for the rest of the season and beyond. I hope this gets wrapped up.
January 30, 20233 yr In another topic. Everton just offered 45m for Gallagher... I don't think we should sell. But we are currently overstocked in the midfield and someone needs to leave. 60m with option to buy back considering the way they messed us up over Flash Gordon
January 30, 20233 yr Holy balls. Todd just kicked the "wait 48hours" meme/excuse out like a Ramos penalty
January 30, 20233 yr If this comes off people will applaud Todd, and rightly so, but lets also remember that Roman has bankrolled this spending spree with his deal for Chelsea last year, without that we wouldn't be able to spend like this, obviously FFP has to be adhered, but it looks like the money the club made from the sale comes under our earnings.

Pretty fair point, and suggests spending will normalize. For now though, they're spending at a rate quicker than my other half even achieves with Amazon

Tbf how many past players that we have sold would we buy back later ? the obvious two kdb, salah, but thats about it for me, Hazard was too old by the time we sold him imo. Maybe Rudiger we would buy back but again he was too old for a buy back clause.

Both KDB and Salah were signings we later wanted back. We already have Hall coming through in Midfield who looks just as good as Gallagher. Plus Carney/Santos/Casadei.

KdB, Salah, Mata, Matic, Musiala, Mbappe(trialist for us but a bit of a stretch), Robben are among a few that I'd take back.

Yes just convert fraction to percentage, 6/4 = 150% , 4/11 = 36.36%, 8/13 = 61.538461%. i memorized most of them from my past betting life.
