Thomas Tuchel new Bayern Manager

Now announced as leaving Bayern at the end of the season ... and supposedly Conte making a big play for the job !

Zero chance of Conte getting the job; he just needs to stick to his bread & butter, Serie A.

Very embarrassing to make him see out the season as essentially a lame duck. Will be interesting to see if the players raise their game knowing he is leaving or just phone in the rest of the season.

Tuchel is in a weird phase professionally; if he doesn’t nail a top job next season, everyone remembers the Bayern tenure. There are loads of young progressive managers coming through like Amorim, Alonso, Michel, Motta, Terzic and Pimenta that he risks getting overlooked for the big roles.

Will Bayern take those kind of manager though?

Their last two managers ( Tuchel and Nagelsmann) are very progressive who put a lot of focus on tactics.

Defensively only.

Imo he is also very good at coaching offense but he is too conservative and too tactical.

I remembered our 1st game last year, he played mount and kai as two out n out winger hugging the touch line to free up Sterling to get the ball as false 9. Tactically it was maybe the "best" solution but it was hard to watch.

dkw still got an axe to grind with Tuchel I see, who could have guessed 🤣

Also considering the 76 league goals we scored in 21/22 have only been bettered twice in our modern history i'd say he did alright on offense as well!

TT is a brilliant tactician (I rate him as the best) but his man management skill is a mess.

It's not really a mess as it looks like. When he came here he did a picture perfect man-management you could only dream of, every player was used according to his strength, from Werner to Mendy everyone had their roles perfectly set and it's no coincidence that we could beat Man City a lot of times and even win the CL at that.

Tuchel arrived at Bayern after Nagelsmann was sacked for losing against Leverkusen, Tuchel went out to win the league title on goal difference and that was their 11th consecutive title.

When you look at their squad you can notice that they are weaker and that they bought players from several different leagues so I doubt that it's Tuchel's man management skill that is the primary cause for them not doing well enough, they are in a period of transition they just refuse to see it. Choupo-Moting and Muller are their starters, both are turning 35 years old, Neuer is turning 38...

Seems a weird one, they threw out a project to get him by sacking nagelsmann but are seemingly now getting rid of him to move to another project in Alonso (or at least the chance to get him).

I still think he has a place high up in football, whether he is one of the very elite is debateable.

Think he'd suit Liverpool if they fancied it, think there would be some fan push back though

Really is difficult to sympathize with him on the "defensive weaknesses".

Bloke spent all summer wanting De Ligt, now that he has him he doesn't play him.

They also have one of the best CB's of last season in Kim.

World cup semi finalist in Mazraoui.

Neuer in goal.

Bloke really is working with hasbeens...

Sources in Germany are now saying Alonso prefers a move to Bayern.

Although I would much rather see Alonso at Bayern over Liverpool, it is strange how that league and entire country protects Bayern and put them on such a pedestal.

Such a dead league.

Xabi Alonso is overrated because the Bundesliga is overrated. He's being praised as if he invented 1-2 passing which if funny because that's how simple it was to beat Bayern.
