So you are 42 years old doubtful you would have been a st holder as a schoolboy and unless you are from a rich family doubtful you could afford one till let's say you were 21 which would bring us to 2003. So you left England in 2008 so that's five possible years you would have been a st ticket holder but you just say yonks back. Shouldn't be that hard to remember James or do you want to backtrack you have the pomposity of a Tory MP so should come pretty natural to you and you didn't name where you sat and how much it cost.

Yep - born with a silver spoon in my mouth. Thanks Papa and Mama for a loving and ST lavished upbringing - a perk I kept going once they had me out working the chimneys and earning my keep. Anyway - this is meant to be a Nicolas Jackson bashing thread, a place for all of us who cant stand the twat - so it is prob better  if we move this to DMs so I can tell you more about myself..... Hello @Dave Ross. Firstly as it seems important to you, my supporter credentials. Born within 5 miles of the ground into a Chelsea supporting family. As a small kid my father took me to Chelsea to cement the birth right. Started going with my mates from the late 70s until the mid 80s home and away. Bit of a hiatus then as I played football on Saturdays. Returned mid 90s as a season ticket holder. Went avidly, (especially enjoyed travelling away in Europe), until Benitez took over. That hit hard Dave. Loss of our identity and all that, plus he was a fat c**t.

Anyway, I think Nicolas Jackson isn't very good and shouldn't be starting as our centre-forward.

He needs to accelerate his learning curve .. I think he has maybe ended of this season to really grow the other parts of this game- hold up play and movement... I doubt we can go into the next season with this version of Jackson- time for him to start graduating now.

What have you got against our Spanish friend Rafa yes he was rather rotund but it was a difficult job he had and of course we had that night in Amsterdam did you not go you would have enjoyed it Justin it has quite the nightlife even for old codgers like us. I used to have a ticket in the middle of the East Stand very near Dickie and Ken Bates or Master Bates as we used to call him cuddly Ken didn't like that !.

So in summing up I hope to hear more from you Justie and I agree about Jackson although he is a converted winger only played  a dozen or so games in Spain as a centre forward. So of course it would take a young guy playing in the hardest league in the world time to adapt if we had a decent centre forward last season he would have been a back up and not a first choice centre forward he needs to be dropped for Nkunku asap. First of all - you made a post with what felt like 43k words, but just 1 full stop. Now however, you have gone the over way, and have started adding them at the end of paragraphs that already contain terminating punctuation.

He’s the second player replaced in the lineup after Sanchez this summer.

It’s that simple.

We can ‘support’ him whilst he’s playing but the childish antics and the absolute lack of any ability does bring out frustrations in even the calmest of people. 

He just needs to keep his head down, run his lanes like he did against Newcastle and it’ll be fine til a replacement is found in January/Summer seeing as Enzo hate Christo for some unknown reason.

I didn't know too much or not enough punctuation was such a bugbear of yours James I'm deeply sorry........ Now maybe using as many or as little full stops tell me when you were a season ticket holder at Chelsea yonks back isn't really an answer. It can't be that hard to remember sometime between 2003 and 2008 before you left England I presume..........

What annoys me, is the lazy pundits who either don't watch our games or just see the highlights when he scores and say "Jackson is coming good".

If he was a 25-30 goal a season striker with short-comings like JFH used to be then fair enough - you put up with those short-comings. But he doesn't score anywhere near enough goals to compensate for the games where he is literally a waste of space and offers nothing.

100%, new keeper and new striker are absolute priority but have been for as long as I can remember.

You’ll hate me then because Chelsea isn’t even my first love. I’m a diehard Dundee fan and go home and away. First match 1973 with my Dad as a toddler. In 89 a group of 5 Chelsea fans came to watch a Dundee game. We got talking and we ended up taking them out that night. They invited me and my mate down to London and the rest is history. First game a 3 or 4 (?) nil win against Millwall in 89 or 90. My love for Chelsea grew further when Dundee sold Andy Dow to Chelsea and we signed Billy Dodds from Chelsea. I still can’t fathom why Andy never really nailed down a place in the Chelsea line up.  Maybe it was because he was sh*te. 😇 Billy Dodds had a good career though.

Since 91 I get to around 5 home games a season and 2 or 3 away. Is that enough to be a Chelsea fan and to have a valid opinion seeing as I watch most of my Chelsea games on tv?

Even worse I work for a Russian/Ukrainian Oligarch (I know I know but I’m not going to explain how that works) so two of my home games are in the posh seats with hospitality each season. A wee perk of the job and jolly spiffing so it is. Don’t often hear any booing with my fellow tourists as our mouths are full of delicious treats. 

Booing was much much worse in the 90’s than it is now and I reckon me and my mate were the only “tourists “ in the crowd back then.

The same Chelsea lads I met in Dundee and 4 of us Scots go once a year to take in a big derby in Europe and beyond. Belgrade, Zagreb, Athens, Rome. I’ve even been to the River v Boca in Buenos Aires and the Fla Flu derby in Rio.

I’m the f**king tourist stealing the seats!

But I am a Chelsea fan who cares just as much as the average season ticket holder and it matters not that I’ve never had one myself.

A Dundee diehard who follows another club obviously not that die hard I've supported Chelsea through thick and extremely thin did I meet a couple of Morton fans on holiday and think yes I'll support them as well err no I didn't. But I've no idea why would you would want to is support the right word an English team who play regularly in Europe instead of going to Cowdenbeath away tough choice old chap.

Your love for Chelsea is it love your a Dundee fan so affection maybe yes but love I don't think so Hamish. I do love Scottish football though where the two top teams have dominated since the year dot apart from Aberdeen under Fergie and not forgetting my beloved Dundee United what a team they were in the mid 80's. Yes Scottish football where the two biggest clubs one sing about the IRA and Palestine and have Irish flags everywhere and the other sing about the British monarchy and a Dutch king and have union jacks everywhere both don't don't give a toss about the country they live in. 

Do you remember a few years ago when their was talk well not in England of Celtic and Rangers joining the English Premier League God I wish that happened the police up and down the country certainly did all those kilt wearing tartan bitter drinking throwbacks pissed up even before they left the train station or got on the coach and singing those delightful sectarian songs it's exactly what English football has been missing. 

So summing up Hamish Dundee the cake, the Beano, marmalade and the great Bob Servant so no wonder you latched onto an English team and @nonotnowjim I asked him when he had his season ticket what year and he never answered a bloke who's so forth-right in his opinions has no recollection when he was a season ticket holder he says before 2003 which would have made him 21 pretty dubious who could afford a season ticket so young oh sorry I forgot I'm talking to a Dundee fan.

Justie how are you that's a hell of a name you have a real mouthful your not a man of the cloth are you are you oh God are you Justin Welby ?. There's a chap on Instagram called the Archbishop of Banterbury is that you Justin you are so full of bantz you missed your calling forget the church you could have been another Bobby Davro or Joe Pasquale a real comedy legend there's no beginning to your wit.
