Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2023/24

Unfortunately I can see the Gooners winning the PL this season. They seem to be the most consistent.

I hear those saying City are always good towards the end of the season, and they have KDB to come back, but I think replacing match winners like Gundogan & Mahrez with average players like Kovacic has backfired. Liverpool still look average to me and I just can't see Villa staying the pace.

Having a different winner is good and full credit to the Arsenal team who stuck by Arteta when those not so knowledgeable AFTV fans were screaming for him to go. Arsenal had a vision and stuck by it and now they fully deserved the rewards. Had they sacked him i don’t believe they would be where they are today.

He took over a soft weak team and turn them into a tough nut to crack.

Let that be lesson on manager merry go round, it doesn’t work anymore.

Steve Cooper got the bullet at Forest ... and Andrey Santos is out on the piss as I type ... 🙂

Shame for Cooper. Got them up, kept them up, just not kick on.

that’ll be fast

The semi-final first legs will be played during week beginning 8 January, with the second legs taking place in week beginning 22 January.

Liverpool made 6 changes tonight.

West Ham made 5 changes.

Seems to be paying off rather better for Liverpool so far. A bit surprised that West Ham didn't field a stronger line up, given that they ought to fancy their chances against the three teams that have already made the semi-finals.

Liverpool you can understand, given their main focus on PL title challenge

Agreed just don’t know if I can take another Liverpool Wembley defeat

I definitely agree with you, I feel like we could beat Liverpool over the two legs better than we could in a final. Would've rather got Liverpool out the way.

But with this draw we should definitely be in the final. We do seem to put in a good performance against the Scousers lately and have been for years but we've lost two cup finals back to back against them, would hate to lose another, ughh...

Different team/squad that lost those two games though.

Personally I think we have a better chance in a one off. Over two legs the best team will usually come out on top ... and that ain't us right now !
