You never see what others do, you only see what Gallagher do. There is a reason why the market value of Enzo and Caicedo last summer was 100m plus last summer, and many clubs didn't want to buy Gallagher last summer. I'm sure the market value of Gallagher last summer was around 30m

The £100m+ wasn't their market value - we were just mugs paying those sums.

The majority are saying Gallagher has been the pick of the midfielders so far this season so maybe it is YOU who just loves a player who comes with a massive transfer fee so they MUST be good!!

Transfer value is hardly the best metric for a players ability or impact. I think more often than not people want so badly for expensive players to be successes that they overlook their mistakes and are more critical of cheaper/homegrown players.

Just look at all the people clamouring for Mudryk to get starts vs those that want Madueke to play more, or for Broja to get more minutes up front etc. They've all shown us largely the same things in their cameos (flashes of potential, mixed in amongst inconsistent performances), but it's the £80m man that everyone wants to focus on.

Gallagher has been our best midfielder so far this season. That doesn't mean the others are bad, or that they'll never be better than him, it just means he's been better so far. It honestly has to be the "new toy" concept or just the pricetags of other players that makes people so unwilling to give Conor his flowers. He's been tremendous, we're lucky to have him.

perhaps its about hunger  sign a 20  year old for 100m give him a long contract on wages which will see him set for live

and in 6years time he can move again for another massive amount   the hunger to prove has been taken away

that the flaw in buy them young  sell the later after they get better  for profit that Todd Boehly never planed for that the super kids

dont have the hunger anymore

Gallagher  has to prove himself every time he walks on the pitch  as he is an easy target if he does not put  in a shift

Nonsense. It's quite difficult to get older players. Competition in football today is higher than before. Clubs in Europe are not willing to sell their players because they also want to play in the Champions league. Clubs that were in the lower half of the table in the last 10-15 years in the Premier league are now trying to play in the Champions league.

The best thing a club can do is to do their transfer under the radar, target younger players, build them, and have their own team.

But the idea is that we also have younger players that are good like Mbappe. They play better than older players. Most of the young players that we bought are good like Mbappe, players like Madueke, Mudryk, Enzo, Caicedo, Palmer. They are good players. If they are given the chance, they are good players. What I do not understand is why some fans see players like that and say they don't want them.

Someone the other day said Mudryk should stop playing like a superstar. This shows you that people know that these guys are good, the guy is a superstar, don't hate him.

These guys are better than Gallagher. They should be playing ahead of Gallagher.

Transfer prices have always been the metric to judge the best players. The most wanted players go for a higher price. That is common sense.

Does it mean once you are homegrown, you must play ahead of those who are not homegrown? Is it about quality or nepotism.

The more quality players should be allowed to play, it is not about nepotism. Certain players should be playing ahead of Gallagher. All the Premier league trophies we've won in the last 18 years have not been about nepotism, if we want to continue to have success, we must not allow nepotism.

The players that should start ahead of Gallagher should be allowed to start ahead of him.

What a load of bollocks. The coach doesn't pick the players you want so it's nepotism!!

All great sides have a balance. You don't play 11 superstars. That's why there has always been players like Deshamps - they might not set the world alight but they helped the team function and allowed the Zidanes to excel.

I'm sure every player will get their chance during the season but up to now, Gallagher is in the side on merit and if you can't see that then I'm not sure what games you've been watching?

Who is not a superstar among the players that started for United against Galatasaray yesternight? Who is not a superstar among the first eleven of City.

Maybe Haaland is not a superstar. Are we supposed to be quarelling about playing a better player over an inferior player? We are fans, at least we should be thinking about the team winning first before thinking about playing a mediocre player and having a balance between mediocre players and good players.

You have great players, then you want to use mediocre players instead, because you want to have mediocre players and good players in your team, you call it balance. That's a stupid balance.

I watch football to win, when we don't win, but we gave it a go, I'm still happy, but the terrible thing is not to even think of winning. When we play PlayStation, we all want to win, I wonder why you will want to play mediocre players and good players together.

When Real Madrid was winning three champions league trophies in few years, did they play mediocre players and good players together?

To support your playing Gallagher, you just tell all forms of lies, you say he has been in the team based on merit, based on what merit? Is he a DM? We should be using Enzo and Caicedo in deeper positions in the Midfield, can he bench any of them?

Is he an AM? We should have been using Palmer as our AM, can he bench Palmer? Based on merit, why should he be playing?

Madueke and Mudryk should have been starting on our wings. So on what merit should Gallagher have been starting?

We have exciting players in our attack just like Arsenal has Saka, Martinelli and Odegaard, these players are so important to Arsenal, we have Palmer, Mudryk and Madueke, but instead for Chelsea fans to like them, they hate them.

Why do Arsenal fans like their own players while Chelsea fans hate their own players.

Are you saying you don't have common sense because I said that transfer prices should be the metric to judge the best players, I said the best players should go for higher prices. Do you oppose that too?

Don't hate me, if I think something looks like nepotism, I will say it. I support chelsea to see them winning, I can't stand Chelsea losing. Get used to that.

It is not a laughing matter. What is wrong with Chelsea fans? Chelsea fans want to run this club down, a club we have supported all our lives.

We must always be competitive. No club is bigger than us in England, we must not see ourselves as inferior to any club in England.

I wonder if Arsenal fans would have wanted Gallagher to be starting ahead of Martinelli, Saka or Odegaard at Arsenal. Chelsea fans want Gallagher to be starting ahead Mudryk, Madueke and Palmer at Chelsea.

Other fans of United, Arsenal City etc. are busy trying for their team to win while Chelsea fans don't mind if their team lose. Why is that so?

Some Chelsea fans are comfortable for big teams to defeat them, they don't even mind if small teams defeat them too.

In the past 15 years, Chelsea has not been like this. We have always wanted to win. Everybody wants to win, we should also want to win.

If Mudryk and Madueke didn't cost us big money aka they are academy player. No chance they are still here in January. We will try to get a winger in January.

Oh you are angry, so it is nepotism. That means it is nepotism. Selfish interest. I think the success of the team should be more important to us than selfish interest.

We have to take away the nepotism and use the right players.
