Of all the players we signed, only Palmer and Gusto would command a fee higher than what we signed them for. For the rest we won't even get half of what we've paid because we've overpaid for every player. In the long run you're right but by churning their way through this amortisation process they can make it appear as if we are moving forwards, in the hope that they unearth just one Messi from all of these kids that they are signing. I am yet to be convinced that anything they have done so far has been for the benefit of the football side of the football club. Ironically the one that has been at the forefront of the mockery and criticism, Boehly, does have an element of sporting ambition, imo. His first dabble was too deep unfamiliar territory and shark infested waters. With Boehly back off and this other fking idiot coming to the front, Eghbali, since then nothing I have seen makes me feel any of it is for the footballing side, unless coincidentally. We are hoovering up countless youth team products and then using our hopelessly transparent PR machine to try to make everyone think that we are trailblazers and signing future talents for the club, when in reality weare puppy farming.. Add in a sprinkling of twitter trash talk and some delusional quotes from Chelsea fans and we are mocking these clubs for the players they are going after. I have been away and in fact I'm still trapped in Egypt due to that global IT issue, but I read the Zirkzee signing being mocked whilst we are bigging up the signing of an 18 year old kid that's played 1 hour of football simply because he came from the Barcelona academy. I completely understand the criticism of Chelsea’s transfers. I don’t understand how you can praise Man Uniteds as an example of how’s it’s done. I’d agree if they were signing the likes of Olmo, Olise and Williams but INEOs are basically copying our random transfer model. Knowing a few Man Utd fans they were similarly hyped at the start of last season after signing Antony and Hojland etc. I mean Zirkzee was a complete unknown before the rumours similar to a Mudryk or Jackson. Only Mudryk I would say has more hype and Zirkzees goal scoring record in Italy makes Jackson’s at Villarreal look good. If we’d have signed him I’d be worried how he couldn’t get a head of previous Man U rejects in Depay and Weghorst in the Dutch national team. Then there’s Yoro who’s got a lot of hype, but he’s only 18. One season in the French league similar to our very own Ugochukwu. Can imagine our fans reaction if we were to sign and play an 18 year old in the centre of defense week in and out in the premier league. A full on Clearlake signing. I’d say differently if they’d bought an established centre back similar to when Liverpool signed Van Dijk. Yes if we signed him I’d probably be hyped up by our fans thinking he could be the next Terry but that’s exactly the kind of evaluation most Clearlake signings. They’re currently linked with Ugarte, well that stinks of Clearlake. Oh yeah that’s because they tried to sign him before he failed at PSG. Rumoured to be signing 9 more players. Man Utd are in full Clearlake mode. As for Arsenal theyve actually made some good signing in previous windows, but get back to me when they actually sign someone.

Okay, there are some fair points here and I get your opinion. We all know what opinions are like and yes we do all have one, so there is little to gained in me disputing or contradicting some of these points. My point was less about the individuals and more about the approach being taken. These clubs are currently looking af resource additions or replenishment with an eye to to the sporting aspects of their club. Man Utd are not going for Yoro or Ugarte to turn a profit, they are trying to improve their playing staff. I don't get that feeling with us. I hope that Man Utd continue to get it wrong, but I am not sure that will happen. My bigger concern is whether we are even trying.

Believe me I not impressed with our current dealings, even though I think we will add to the first team at some point. A lot of signings have come out of nowhere so hopefully we’re working on some quality to add to the squad and not just youngsters. My disgust of the Man U praise is probably down to Utd fans I know suddenly thinking they’re a team all of a sudden after the shambles of last season. Not the best example going off previous transfers to be fair they’re close to the worst example. Sancho is back in favour too, let’s see how that works out.

Gomez will surely want to go somewhere where he will be a guaranteed starter ; does he make our team ahead of Fofana and Colwill ?
August 21, 20241 yr Signing Gomez will only go to show that the 'project' is in shreds on the drawing room floor .....and the last two years have been an absolute waste of time and effort with no direction or idea from the top.
April 7, 20251 yr Daily StarVictor Osimhen ‘wants Stamford Bridge transfer’ as target...Chelsea could fall into a Champions League place this season with Enzo Maresca’s stuttering side in pole position to secure a top five finish in a huge boost to their summer transfer window hopes
April 9, 20251 yr Osimhen has bust written all over him. Of all the Strikers we’ve been linked with he’s the one I least want to see in a Chels shirt.
