The big question, can he do this playing twice a week.

April 22Apr 22 Not working out for us unless we build a team around him and im not sure he will ever be strong enough to survive in the premier league

He has plenty of time to adapt physically. You'd expect him to be a more developed by 20/21.Messi was injury prone at 17-20.

Like this guy, a lot, but he has to start converting and impacting games either as a starter or sub. Palmer has gone from worldie to bang average. Team looks all over the place. Hoping he gets a starting position for us next season and 12 months of adjusting works out for him because we need an entertainer if its not Palmer.

Many of them are still developing and are not yet cut out to last a full game in the Premier League. You can carry 1 ot 2 players like this and certainly Estevao is a potential gem. But we have way too many young players that are lacking physically.

Talk about a reality check (we all knew anyway, but maybe it was for the stupid directors).
April 22Apr 22 Just get the lad 100% fit for the beginning of next season. Don't want to see him miss the WC but then get flown off to some meaningless pre-season tournamount.

April 22Apr 22 I wonder if this has happened because we tried to build his body up too quickly. He's only 18, and he has put on a lot of muscle when you look at how thin he used to be. He's so much bulkier. It reminds me of Loftus-Cheek, who funnily enough also started getting a ton of injuries once he bulked up.
April 22Apr 22 Rumor, so take it with a grain of salt.I've just heard on a Brazilian sports show it's a full rupture and chelsea suggested immediate corrective surgery. Player and staff decided to go to Brazil and try to recover in time for the WC.I'm not sure I like the take as a Brazil fan. I certainly do not like what I hear, if true, as a chelsea fan.Another rumor: his return was too soon... dunno if player pushed for it (for the WC). Edited April 22Apr 22 by acaeus
