Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*

Richard Keys calls out Enzo Maresca

Keys believes that Maresca is prioritising the European competition at this stage of the season, with it looking better for potential future employers than the fight for the Champions League places.

He said: “Madness. Absolute madness. If he doesn’t want out he’s got some making up to do now. Winning the Conference League might not be enough to get Chelsea fans back onside, although adding a success like that to his cv would suit him.

“I’ve got mates who are Chelsea fans and they’re convinced Maresca wants that more than a top 5 finish – because he won’t be around next season.”

If we were to appeal and lose would it be increased, please.

Have to admit I didn't know Willie Caballero was our assistant manager ! As our former keeper surely he must have had something to say to his boss about our keeper situation??

You honestly don't think the owners tasked him with finishing in the CL positions? We just finished 6th and you think they turned around and said "don't worry about finishing a single position higher with this additional quarter of a billion pound of talent"?

He's consistently lied in press conferences but this is where you take his word as gospel?

I'm happy you can be optimistic but at some point it just because blind delusion.

Watch the entire thing. If he is lying he's done it all season.

The more we talk about him the more I feel I am right. Absolutely no one here has turned my head one bit on the 'project' or the idea we should stick with a coach.

The club decides what's it going to be.

Tell me what the project actually is , I'd like to know if you're right .

Football has been dead for a few years now, the introduction and poor application of technology and overuse of stats has stripped the magic away. We barely ever see someone thunderc**t one top bins from 30 yards anymore. Imagine if Essien had tried that Arsenal goal under Maresca, he's have been hooked for not recycling possession. Its not even nostalgia at this point either, what magicians so we have left in the game? There was the era of Messi, Neymar, Hazard, Ribery etc. Now the best wingers are Vini and Saka. Neither would be playing at the top level a decade ago.

THAT Essian goal is a thing of beauty, I've watched it tons of times , it's stunning.

Delap, Gittens, Palmer, Estevao

That is potentially our starting attack next season btw. Average age = 20.

That’s the project.

The Klopp v Pep rivalry ruined everything. It was appearances only, as they were cordial and “buddy-buddy” when the cameras were on but no doubt were sick of one another. They presented how current top managers should behave and especially towards adversaries. Boring bellends. Pep I wasn’t surprised given he fled like a dog when ever Mourinho tried to rile him up, but I was surprised with Klopp given how aggressive he was in Germany.

As an old school fan, I hate the way managers are now expected to perform sideline antics.

Some of the greatest managers in football's past didn't feel the need to become part of the match day experience. Our very own Dave Sexton for one. Our own Tommy Docherty didn't even sit on the touchline, Alf Ramsey, World Cup winner, Jock Stein, Matt Busby, George Graham won the title up at Anfield without any histrionics. Just sit down and shut up .

That's wishful thinking, that's not the project

Only Evissy knows the project . But he's not telling us what it is

Info

I was thinking about end of season and possible outcomes:

  • CL + conference trophy = excellent season

  • CL + lose conference trophy = disappointing but achieved CL which is main target

  • Europa spot and win conference = mediocre season

  • Miss CL and lose conference = disaster.

That 4th option doesn’t bare thinking about. Maresca would be serious trouble I think if that was to happen. A conference trophy at least keeps the fans onside. Lose that and he’s in big trouble.

Evissy,

I admire you. I like a person who stands up for what they believe. Nail your nuts to the mast and like a good captain go down with your ship. But never blindly follow.

When I refused to wear a mask, have an experimental jab, stay home and isolate because I knew I was being lied to during covid everyone thought I was crazy. I remember standing in line a the bridge being told I wouldn’t be allowed in haha never missed a game but it wasn’t easy. Herd mentality, peer pressure what ever you want to call it. I admire your resolve, I really do. But I can’t see what you’re defending. I’m all for backing the club. Trying to support the team. I don’t like booing my team etc etc. but what is it about the current regime that you support without question, because if you can’t question what are you? I’m guessing you’re a young man, someone who without knowing has been brainwashed into accepting authority. People on here say drunk the coolaide. What about the current set up, other than the fact they are in charge right now so let’s get behind them do you like? What are they doing right? Help me understand your perspective?

The club doesn’t decide, we do. You need to break free my friend.

I am not a British citizen, I am a sovereign English man. I don’t need permission to do anything. Can you believe people pay council tax? Any tax? Can you believe people buy a tv licence? A f**king fishing license?? Like someone owns the f**king sea. It’s our world. Do what is right, by ur fellow man. That’s the only law. As for our club, it’s ours not thiers. I have owned my seat in MH upper ever since it was built. Moved over from the old west. No one has ever sat in my seat other than me. It’s mine, not some yanks. Empower yourself evissy. Have a say in your life. It’s ur life mate. Grow a pair.

Great post mate ...well, apart from the COVID conspiracy theory introduction at the start !! 😂

The project is pretty clear. Stay as big club, keep player value high with lower salary and lower transfer spend.

Willy Caballero was an awful premiership keeper.

I'm not rich enough to use tax havens to avoid paying tax. How do you do it mate ??

Really interesting video here on why we are struggling. Sorry if posted already.

THe short answer

1) we create more chances per game the lower possession we have. i.e less of the ball equals more chances.

2) Despite this, Maresca's tactics are all about getting us more of the ball.

The conclusion was that Maresca's tactics are hurting us.

Secondary reason is we are missng Lavia and Fofana, who are 2 of the most agressive ball winners in the league.

Conspiracy theory….. if you like. Not doing political satire here. Another forum. Let’s just say there is a large control group and every politician is like me in it.

No company can take a man to court, only a company can take another. The government is a company, as are the police. As are you. Without knowing it. Own your own company. They teach this to the rich, they teach us pricks who was king of France between 1380 and 1410. Like that helps🙄

Thanks for the post! I really like it.

First of all I don't feel like I am in charge of the club. Not sure how you guys feel about that. Do you feel you are making decisions? I know we can all vote with our feet so to say but I don't see that as a solution. In my position I don't see it making any change by protesting.

Psychologically I know I have this trait (not sure if it is that) when someone is down I don't want to see everyone beating him. Be it a player or a coach or someone here.

I feel this group and these players really try to live up to the Chelsea (of past decades) standard which in these circumstances (new group, new coach, young players) is nearly impossible to achieve. They still try. They feel pressure and are motivated. I don't see anyone downing their tools. That is the key. Sometimes the pressure gets you and pushes you to look like you are not trying. I don't think anyone is not trying. Even Nkunku who I feel is a player that needs to be in an exact mindset to perform. He wasn't bought for Enzo's football and it shows. He needs to go if Enzo stays.

Why I feel we shouldn't behave towards this team as we would it they were the prime Drogba or Lampard is because this is a new era of young men and they live with a different mindset. And most of all the strategy was to make us a youthful side and build of that. I think fans need to adjust to this and not expect what we used to achieve.

The mindset to me here is exactly what it was under Roman era. This is a perfect chance to create something new instead of the reactionary strategy we had.

Fair enough, but when you see your kid about to put his hand in the fire you shout NO, even though you don’t like shouting at him.

And people will always compare the old with the new because that’s all than can do. That’s the yard stick. What else is there?

It’s tough love I suppose. Sometimes you have to say stop, no, it’s not right. I kind of feel like my clubs on crack at the minute and feel it could do with a little rehab.

We all want what’s best, we all love the club. Some of us keep supplying the crack, others chain our kids to the radiator until they sort their f**king lives out.

@evissy The issue as far as I can see though is that the project and the manager are coming at it from 2 opposite directions.

The ‘project’ appears to be to sign the best young talent in the world to develop an XI that can dominate for a decade or, worst case, if they don’t live up to their potential be moved on for ‘market’ profit or recoup the outlay through loans. We’ve signed some of the most exciting young attackers/creators in football: Palmer, Estevao, Paez, Santos to name but a few.

Now the Managers ‘style’ seems to be the anti-football approach, no risks, no rewards just recycle.

Forgive me if I’m wrong but they seem to be counter intuitive to one another. If we want to implement the style Maresca wants to play then we’re signing and identifying the wrong players and the project is redundant?
